Well, I do a few of those things but mostly the last one but I don`t write down things. I mostly get an idea for the middle of the story then start writing my where there from the start. I do have one story that I did all my stuff planned out and I even drew a world map(it`s quite sad).
I have ,eh, ten or so stories swimming around my head right now and I`m hoping to write some of them down one day. <p>

Generally, I find it's best to jot down interesting ideas when you have them, and save them for later.

Of course, I never have a pencil or paper whenever I get inspired, so I don't take my own advice Generally, though, I brainstorm for freaking EVER before actually comitting something to paper or text. So... I guess... I'm a planner. <p><div style="text-align:center"></div></p>

Inbetween choices 1 and 2.

I normally get an idea that I just jot down. I take that and make an outline type deal. Then I write, changing what I need/want to along the way.

Normally, by the time I get to the end of the outline, the story correlates to it very little... <p><div style="text-align:center">
