RPGWW

Well?

Personally, my reasons are manyfold. Originally, a sense of of RPGWW-related duty compelled me to start reading these fics. However,I also wind up genuinely enjoying (most of) them when I do, which strongly reinforces my drive to read them.

Since I'm a fic author myself, I also know what it's like to want more comments, so that's another factor. When people give me feedback, too, it makes me that much more determined to respond to their own fics. Kind of a "hey, you helped me out, now it's my turn" type of thing.

I also like to encourage involvement on this forum, both in writing and critiquing, and one of the best ways to do that I feel is by example. And finally, I also like to support and encourage my friends, and a great deal of the authors on this forum are friends of mine. ::nods::

I really want to read the fics here but I have a bad habit of skimming and I have a little guilt for that. I skim even published works. If the text doesn't capture me my eyes will move faster over the words until they do. I usually don't read them thoroughly but I always check them. <p>

Nothing wrong with skimming. I'm jealous of people who can skim and get the general idea of things well; I can't do that. <p>

I read the one's with interesting titles. Because they intrest me. I'd really like to have time to read them all, but sadly, I don't. I also have the tendancy to skim, so I generally miss stuff too... <p>

o.o Sometimes I read the ones by names I recognize. Like Pervy's 'Birth of Enlil'. I didn't find the title particularly interesting, but I respect his work enough to take a look anyways. <p>

*nods* I find Bro's and Nekogami's works some of my favorites; Archmage is a good writer, but he doesn't do so nearly often enough. I also personally enjoyed Will and Nakibe's only pieces.

As for time, it's not too hard to find the time to read stuff, I've found. The trick is setting yourself down to have no distractions and getting into it. I've personally read and responded to a good number of the fics in this forum...it's all a matter of taking a half hour out every few weeks to read people's stuff, really. <p>
