Wow, that turned out really well... your shading is dead on and the colors are splendid. The characters' expressions lend to the piece.

The only thing that bothers me is the color of the sky. Is it moonlight or sunlight?

Otherwise, this piece is completely satisfying.

Indeed. The entire foreground is colored in a daytime scenario with some global lighting all around.

I've been waiting to link this

It's a damn good lighting tutorial. Make sure to read everything, it will help, most definitely.

And another, by a guy with a strangely similar URL to the last!

This one covers things such as color contrast, reflection, and specularity, as well as touching on subsurface scattering (fancy name for the color blood can give skin.), gesture, and perspective. Not necessarily related to any critiques in particular, just a really, really neat link.

Try not to overuse textures and soft brushes. My recommendation is to think of the image as less of a blank computer document and more like a canvas. For cell shaded styles, I say stick with the hard brushes. For a more painterly style, which I see you're going for with the softer blends, use the Airbrush Hard Round sets. Play around with the custom brush settings, too. They'll add a whole new dimension to your work.
