I'm aware that his eyes are a little unbalanced, and that his bandanna vaguely resembles a piece of steak. Also, his character is not supposed to look nearly so beefy as this. That is a problem that occurred to me as I was halfway through coloring the piece and reread his character description more thoroughly. :( The bangs are...meh...but I was never good at hair. And he's wearing a scrunchie! Yes, a scrunchie! Because I don't know what any other sort of hair tie would look like!

I tried making my shading a little darker in this piece, and felt like I succeeded, but that's not saying much. I could still work a little harder on that. I tried the whole three line stylized mustache-looking deal for the mouth this time and kind of liked how that turned out. Too bad it's so faint.

Background is from another photograph of the Real Jardin Botanico in Madrid, Spain, this time filtered in Photoshop Elements.

Comments, please. ;P <p>

That background is something; looks very water-paintish; very nice.

You did succeed with darker shading; well done. I like the ripped shoulder on the tunic, myself. The shading is very nice; and I note you're address neck longness.

Poor guy looks kinda nervous. Probably due to meeting Inverse. :D

I just realized that I never posted here. I deserve a thousand deaths for not doing so.
Dia, your work here provides a visualization beyond the scope of what I had previously had. I thank you for your spending your time and effort on this, and I am glad that it came out so well. Thank you. <p>"There is great disorder under Heaven, and the situation is excellent."
