A law professor mentioned to me last week that she was doing... well, whatever it is these voter protection officials are doing. She didn't seem to be 100% clear on the matter either, which... I'm not sure what to think about that.

I was surprised to find out how limited early voting is in Maryland but much more surprised to find out it's a ballot measure this year.

Hey, you still had a senatorial race that was pretty major, if nothing else.
What in the world is going on there, anyway? How is Stevens winning at all? I mean, he's literally a convicted felon now.

No, wait - I don't vote till Saturday. In a completely different election, too. Not that it's not important, mind you. I mean, who wouldn't thrill at the epic showdown between John Key and Helen Clark? Granted, the electoral system means we won't actually know who wins until weeks after the event when all the horse-trading with potential coalition partners is done, but it's still dramatic.
No, really.
Okay, yeah, I wasn't really buying it either.
