My computer has died, as near as I can tell. We're going to try a couple other things on it, but it looks like the motherboard has committed suicide on me. There's no telling how soon I'll be able to be back reliably. It could be tomorrow, or it could be months from now.

I'm typing this from my father's computer, which is much less than reliable, seeing as it has some kind of malware problem that causes the CPU to max out constantly. Even ignoring that, the family doesn't like me using it. The keyboard clicks annoy them. >:(

If it becomes absolutely necesary, I can try to build another computer from old parts we have around... don't hold your breathe on that.

To my GMs, several of which are listed above... Sorry. I'm trying. :(

No problem, understandable. Lucky that you got some stuff backed up over to me first, at least, in case something happened with the hard drive. Good luck with getting that taken care of, Bes. :(

It's fixed. Finally, it's fixed. Good lord, that was shitty. But!

It turns out that all those problems were direct result of a stick of RAM going bad. The hard disk, and all the files on it, are fine; But the bad RAM had the CPU interpretting the information incorrectly. Hence the system thinking that the files were damaged. Well! I only have half a gig of RAM now, but that'll do I think. =D

Must cook dinner. LAter folks, and see you in Starcraft for those who play it!

... on that note: The problem with WinFixer was not with Chuck. That was my Sister's computer. Whether it's infected, or just repelling attacks, it's her system. I'll be deleting Hamachi from there. Brian, Spleen, run virus scans just in case. The rest of you shouldn't have had any oppourtunity to be infected.
