1904 Diary

Unread postby Idran1701 » Tue Aug 29, 2006 3:54 pm

This is an interesting thread that's been going on over at SA for the last couple of weeks. Someone bought a diary a guy kept back in 1904, and they've been scanning and transcribing pages from it for the forums there. The forums are open at the moment, so you all should be able to read it unregistered.

It's kind of cool to be able to get an actual first-hand accounting of society at the time.

Oh, and it's a heavy picture thread, so people with poor connections might want to skip it.

Wow, sure this isn't faked? Seems very modern in certain attitudes.

Yeah, Gus, it's authentic. That's one of the interesting things I thought about it, how similar it is to our own life. But they ended up finding him in the 1900 and 1910 censuses.
