Prayers for Alexis.

Unread postby BrainWalker » Sat Apr 08, 2006 2:46 pm

His majesty the King of All Domas and I would like to request that you keep Alexis in your thoughts, and in your prayers if you're into that sort of thing. She's run into a bit of the problems with her various healths recently. Enough so that, for the time being, her mother is staying with her to act as a foil for worst-case scenarios. Plus, of the treatment options available, both her parents and the local medical communnity seem eager to try something that Alexis is adamantly against, and I can't blame her. This recent development comes on the heels of a sequence of stressful events that had just started to wind down. Rather a kick in the balls, really. Figuratively, that is, since she lacks actual balls, being a woman and all.

So, yea. Troubling times in the life of Our Lex. She could really use some good karma. Or good mojo. Or positive chi, or whatever you've got.

Oh, and vagueness begets discretion. So don't be all snoopin' and pryin' up in this thread.

Edit: It would seem that interested parties should check out her livejournal for clarification on the matter. So much for discretion! But it is said that admitting and accepting a problem is the first step to overcoming it. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>Edited by: BrainWalker&nbsp; Image at: 4/8/06 14:55

I don't know what to say, Lex, except that I hope for your recovery along with everyone, and that if you ever need to talk, I'd always be there for you as well. <p>

Same here, but I wish to express well-wishings anyway. Despite the fact that we've never really gotten along, I'm pulling for ya. You can beat this thing, and keep it beat. If there's one thing I've learned about you, it's that you're strong. You have my vote of confidence. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, definitely thinking of ya Lex, and always available if you need to talk to someone.

Well I'm pretty sure Lexy already knows I'm constantly cheering for her through all the bad stuff she's going through but I might as well post it as well.

I'm cheering for ya Lexy, always and always! I may not do the praying thing but I certainly wish you all the best through everything ya do <span style="color:blue;font-size:xx-small;">(except ya love of pink, thats gotta go)</span> and come hell and high water you know I'd lend a hand if needed.

Ditto and whatnot. My thoughts are definitely with you, Lex. <p>Centuries of threats of "I'll turn you all to stone!" and "I'll knock you all down!" have caused Domans to develop an instinct to form small groups. For safety, I assure you. – Keir</p>

Well.

Hope she gets better. <p>

Dan: Shut up, before you run out of breath!
Curtis: I got rid of those smiles, there's no one left to disturb our game. Just you, and me.

I've a pretty solid faith that Alexis will come through this perfectly fine. She's hit bottom, but the bottom is always there to brace us for our next great leap towards something awesome. She's a smart girl, a lot of people love her, there's an astounding amount of support for her, and she has a lot of good reasons to keep on living. <p>Image</p>

I don't know you very well, Alexis, and I'm an atheist, so I don't believe in the whole praying and positive chi and karma. But, if it's any consolation, I would be praying/sending good chi/karma you way if I did.

But in all seriousness, I hope you get better. It pains me to see people ill, especially nice people (which I assume since everyone who's anyone on the forum has sent you their best wishes. They probably wouldn't do that if you were a prick).

Hope you get well soon. <p>
