......Next week is spring fucking break. All the mother fuckin' labs are closed but one. The MCS. The team leads sent out an email asking who wanted to be a volunteer to work during spring break. I pointedly did NOT respond. Oh yay says my head, Multimedia I will not have to fuck with you! No work for a WEEK! Sweet god I reJOICE.

No word from my bosses. Til today. A week from spring break. WITHOUT ASKING, OR PRIOR NOTICE me and three of my coworkers were scheduled to work all spring break. e_e 8am-7pm. I HAVE ONLY THURSDAY OFF. MOTHERFUCKINGSHITSTICKS STUFF IT IN YOUR ASS. Yeah, nice break FUCKOS. Thanks for the prior warning, I didn't have a doctors appointment, family trip, several large projects and a life scheduled during that time. OH NO. Now two of the Multimedia bitches were let off,.....For no reason. But me, and the others, we all had plans. WE ALL HAVE TRIPS PLANNED. My coworker Sontee told my boss (devil) that she had already made travel arrangements to go to the grand canyon. Our boss threatned her, said it was in company policy that we had to work during breaks despite being student workers. e_e We printed out the policy. NOTHIN'. I JUST.......MY GOD.......I want to fucking cry. I want to bash in a monitor. I WANT TO THROW UP. Inconsiderate fucking bastards! FUCK FUCK FUCKY FUCK YOU. e_e I am organizing all the oppressed and talking to all our bosses. Oh hell no. I may just quit. BUT I NEED MONEY. SHIT. Do i need this for the amount of hell I'm put through on such little salary? FUCK YOU. FUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCK. e__e

It kind of sounds like there's a massive breach in policy here. If they don't have the right to do that sort of thing, which they really shouldn't, then I wouldn't even bother showing up, and I would encourage my coworkers to do the same thing. It's insane to assume that student employees wouldn't have a problem with not being told in adavance that they'd have to give up one of the biggest student holidays of the scholastic year. And from what you've said, apparently it's even in your contract that you're not supposed to have to do that. Hopefully you can find some people who don't have their heads up their asses to work it out with, but if not, I'm sure you can find another job that would actually let you know in advance when they want you to work over time you're supposed to have off. <p><div style="text-align:center"></div></p>

I've organized my fellow workers, we are all of the pissed. We are all going to talk to my boss. T_T If that doesn't fly, we'll talk to the higher boss. If nothing is resolved......Hell ANYWAY, this job is more stress than it should be for the pay. I could fuckin' work at the damn coffee house (which I love) for nine bucks an hour, for much less time and have shit loads more fun than being some office monkey bitch and whipping boy.

I think it's pretty safe to say I'm gonna be trolling for a new jorb.

I think my form of advice would be to get a lawyer and have him have a little chat about your contract. Because you have a contract you are aloud to report unfair treatment to employees. Though since I just write down what time I work through the day they're aloud to bitch slap me around all day, and blame me for the bruises.

I am truly sorry that this ass hole is doing this to you but it gives you good grounds for legal talk, or you could just have my mom come over there and beat the living shit out of them verbally and make them cower at your feet. ::Smiles:: Ah yes mum is such a nice woman, but never one to cross XD! When reason fails, petty revenge sometimes seems like the answer.

My favorite kind of petty revenge is to demand the boss also be there, and insist it is also part of the policies.

Also: Arrange with your friends. If it's spring break, likely the lab won't be too bad. If you can get away with one person in the lab per day, go for it.

Alternatively, I also know of a formula that you can put onto car windows that makes them almost impossible to see out of, and which is reputed to last for about a year with no other means of removing it but to smash out the windows. The problem with it is it needs to harden over night.

... I find filling there desk full of yogurt the most satifying. I organized 80% of the Mmedia lab to go and talk to the higher boss at the same time. We planned out what we were to say, how to say it, A UNITED FRONT. That was blown out of the water really.
