Mel Gibson flick that's been getting a lot of press. It tells the tale of Jesus' last 12 hours on earth. Gimme a sec, and I'll get you a link.

Voted no, since I had no idea what it was. Now that I know, I can say that I'd most likely wait till a DVD release so I can rent it.

No, because it's a movie. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. It is a secret you have yet to grasp, although the first syllable has been spoken in a dream you cannot quite recall." --Unknown Armies</span></p>

No, because Jesus is too anti-establishment to let the Hollywood bigwigs get a hold of him, man! <p>

I'm going to go see it because movies set in that time period always draw me, religious or not. Also, religious things just draw my interest, unless they involve cartoon lambs. <p>-Seethe Longnails</p>

Gus: ARGH YOU BASTARD.
Oh, and on the movie, I've totally ignored any criticism or comment made by the media surrounding the movie itself and hadn't planned to see it anyway, so I don't have any permanent plans and my opinion is very indifferent. <p>

I think that it'll likely be an awesome movie, but I've not been in a movie watching mood lately. If the trailer had been like
this, then I likely would have checked it out. But it wasn't, so I won't.

There's a older version which you can draw direct comparisons to. I won't say plagerism but it's possible.

Nope, a film. It wasn't that old (it was in colour and alright quality) but it did deal with the final events of Jesus' life in great detail. Someone very strange played Pontius Pilate...to the [url=http://www.imdb.com>movie]!

Nope, not going. Read an article on it where Gibson said something about being sad that his wife 'is going to hell because she's a different religion' than he is... wtf? Why did he marry her then?! After that, it occured to me that I don't care who says it's a good film, it's something that was produced by a rather self-righteous prick, and that sort of thing, I want no part of. <p>

Zoolander doesn't count. Bowie can play himself. But Bowie playing the Goblin King is slightly less weird than him playing Pontus Pilate.
He's fucking DAVID BOWIE. He's playing PONTUS PILATE. What the fuck. <p>

XD I know about the evil that Priam speaks of, but I still find myself more amused by his response than I should be.
*continuing the thread Priam is on* Or you'll find a cool kick-ass anime woman's voice done by someone who starred in a movie about strippers and was a rather grating personality on an old 80's NBC show about high school.
Edit: Also,
stuff with David Bowie. <p>

Priam: The amusing bit regarding that is that I personally didn't care that Bass was VAing Sephiroth as long as he did a good job with it. I was actually disappointed in the minimal speaking he did and would've loved to hear more.
David Bowie playing Pontus Pilate does not make me go "oh my God, that's so horribly wrong and hurts my fanboy soul!" but rather "...that's kinda a strange thought." <p>

I am going to go see it for the very fact that it seems to be a very positive depiction of Christ for once. I am quite interested in seeing how Gibson portrays the last twelve hours of Christ's life through this visual medium. The cinematography seems to be stunning and the soundtrack seems to be inspiring. I base these conclusions off the trailer. I think that all of the bad publicity is actually helping the movie out more. <p>________________________________________

Especially since the guy's so obsessed, the film's in fucking HEBREW AND LATIN. Dumb.
