Alien Swarm

Unread postby Jak Snide » Tue Jul 20, 2010 4:09 pm

So, there's this game on Steam. Up to 4 player co-op, top down shooting antics. It's rather fun. It's also totally free and should run on any non-dinosaur a moderate gaming PC.

Should you decide to play then give me a shout. I'll happily zap people with a medi-gun and get crushed by doors.

Looking at the minimum requirements, Jak has an interesting definition of "non-dinosaur computer". Or maybe everything I own is really, really old. >_>; I'm interested, but don't have a computer that could handle this.

I also can't play it, and I bought this computer maybe two years ago. Maybe my new laptop can handle it, but I doubt it.

"Anything that might be of interest to Slitscan. Which is to say, anything that might be of interest to Slitscan's audience. Which is best visualized as a vicious, lazy, profoundly ignorant, perpetually hungry organism craving the warm god-flesh of the anointed. Personally I like to imagine something the size of a baby hippo, the color of a week-old boiled potato, that lives by itself, in the dark, in a double-wide on the outskirts of Topeka. It's covered with eyes and it sweats constantly. The sweat runs into those eyes and makes them sting. It has no mouth, Laney, no genitals, and can only express its mute extremes of murderous rage and infantile desire by changing the channels on a universal remote. Or by voting in presidential elections."

I am a buffoon. Title post fixed for accuracy.

I know that Zero has the game as well, so there's at least two of us playing now.

Smash TV top down styled shootin', plus a class system and weapon unlocks, wrapped up in Aliens + Starship Trooper + Space Hulk styled themes. :c00lisar:
