Your name is JASON. There is nothing SPECIAL about today. You have recently been given a RAVENCLAW SCARF by your SISTER. You are fond of SANDALS, and wear them whenever you can. You enjoy ROLE PLAYING GAMES, collecting TRADING CARDS, and BLADED WEAPONS. You are extremely fond of computer GAMES, cheesey MOVIES, and ANTHROPOMORPHIC CREATURES. You are an aspiring COMPUTER PROGRAMMER and LINUX USER, though you are not very good at either.

You don't actually have any plush anthropomorphs, but Quackles here will do for now. You've had him since you were literally a day old, and he holds some sentimental value. Might as well hang onto him for now.

Quackles is, as mentioned, sort of important to you, but at the end of the day he's still only a plush duck, and can not speak. Your conversation is very one sided. Quackles listens carefully, unblinking as you tell him about your future as a video game programmer, and maybe working with Spiggot Software one day. He is a very good listener.

You quickly Captchalogue Quackles' own Hogwarts scarf into his Captchalogue Card. However Quackles is solidly within house Hufflepuff, a loyal friend to the end.

Which is best visualized as a vicious, lazy, profoundly ignorant, perpetually hungry organism craving the warm god-flesh of the anointed. Personally I like to imagine something the size of a baby hippo, the color of a week-old boiled potato, that lives by itself, in the dark, in a double-wide on the outskirts of Topeka. It's covered with eyes and it sweats constantly. The sweat runs into those eyes and makes them sting. It has no mouth, Laney, no genitals, and can only express its mute extremes of murderous rage and infantile desire by changing the channels on a universal remote. Or by voting in presidential elections."

This sounds like a great idea and definitely not a huge waste of time. However, you don't have the tools to sharpen a sword right now, so you will have to settle for polishing one instead. You quickly captchalogue one of them, and clear some work space for yourself.

Image

There, much better. Now if you could just remember where the polish was...

Wow that's a stupid idea! You've never had such a... huh. That gives you an idea for a prank to pull on your sister later, involving her bed and a candy bar. She'll be mortified, until she realizes she has received a chocolate confection rather than a smelly leaving. She might even get a laugh out of it. Interesting how the mind works.

Oh yeah. This is the stuff, right here. You're not sure what a slash fic is, but this is your HL2 fic. One day, this is going to be an HL2 mod. Oh man that's gonna be sweet. Everyone will love it and VALVe will offer you a job, just like that person who made Metastatis. It's gonna be awesome.
Just as soon as you learn to program it. And get some voice actors. And modellers. And stuff. Ok, it's not perfect, but it's nice to dream.

You sit down and resolutely begin altering a DnD module in your collection, taken by sudden inspiration to make a low magic setting. This is yet another clearly valuable use of your time.
