I do recommend that people do this. I rather enjoyed the first chapter. The second one was far less entertaining, though.

Well, you're trying to craft a replacement for your voodoo root bear, aren't you? What you've got there is fizzy grog. Something is missing, isn't it?

I've actually not been super-impressed by this game. I'm not sure what it is. It just doesn't seem to quite live up to the comedic weight of the originals. It's kinda funny, but not funny enough that I would actually want to spend money on it. I had the same problem with the Sam & Max demo on the 360. Not bad, but not really all that great. I dunno, I'd chalk it up to rose-tinted shades except that I didn't get around to playing the vast majority of LucasArts adventure games until a year ago.

TellTale games have had that same effect on me, to be honest. I got the Homestar Runner games, and I'm a huge fan of the series, but they just... they're just decent, you know. I guess it'll be the same with the new Monkey Island, and the only explanation can be that there's a certain nostalgia to the older games that just doesn't stick around.

All I pray for is that they don't get their hands on the Grim Fandango license.
