Who wants to be my arch nemesis?

Unread postby FlamingDeth » Wed Jul 01, 2009 3:30 am

I just noticed that the new forum software lets you set foes, so I need to get me some enemies! The only requirement for this position is that you fail at using turn signals.

I'd love to be your arch-nemesis, except I'm a stickler for proper use of the turn signal.

I can drive, but I have no car. That, and failure to indicate a turn is utterly abhorrent to me.

It is statistically improbable that we have so many dedicated turn-signal users resident at this board. I think someone's lying.

Which is best visualized as a vicious, lazy, profoundly ignorant, perpetually hungry organism craving the warm god-flesh of the anointed. Personally I like to imagine something the size of a baby hippo, the color of a week-old boiled potato, that lives by itself, in the dark, in a double-wide on the outskirts of Topeka. It's covered with eyes and it sweats constantly. The sweat runs into those eyes and makes them sting. It has no mouth, Laney, no genitals, and can only express its mute extremes of murderous rage and infantile desire by changing the channels on a universal remote. Or by voting in presidential elections."

Someone who uses turn signals in Maryland? HIGH FIVE!

Oh, and I don't drive, but the last time I rode a bike, I didn't use the hand/arm signal for turning because I have no balance.

I'm from Jersey, you know. If I didn't use my signal on the Turnpike, I would die.

Don't actually own a car, but when I do drive I'm pretty scrupulous about using the old turn signals.

Can it be the FD doesn't have an archnemesis? Surely not.

I admit, it's much harder to find a nemesis amongst a group that doesn't consist primarily of witless nimrods.

I don't drive, so the turn signal thing doesn't really apply to me at the moment, but you can totally count me as your archnemesis for being a witless nimrod. :zoidberg:

You do seem to lack wit, Christian. And your rods are nim, indeed.

I can stop using turn signals, if you want.
Hey there! Can I give you a hand?

I think Shini proposes the best solution so far.

On the subject of turn signals, I saw not one but two cops fail to use theirs this evening while cruising in their squad cars.

Ducky proposes an interesting solution! I could declare that my nemesis is THE MAN, who is totally KEEPING US DOWN and also not using turn signals apparently.

That is an accurate description of THE MAN and his attributes.
