POKEMAHNZ: get Shaymin from TRU: 2009 Feb 8 - 14

Unread postby pd Rydia » Mon Feb 09, 2009 6:15 pm

Just a heads-up for the interested:
pokemon.com wrote: "Visit a participating Toys "R"Us store from February 8th to February 14th to receive the mysterious Pokemon Shaymin. Your new Shaymin will be in its Land Forme in your Pokemon Diamond Version and Pokemon Pearl Version games, but soon you can trade it to the newest Pokemon game, Pokemon Platinum Version, for an added surprise!"

Most US stores will participate, but if you give your local store a call, the employees will probably know if they are running the event (as they'll be working in the middle of it right now if their store is participating). Of course, you could always just use this as an excuse to go to the toy store--remember, TRU is the only brick-and-mortar store from which us U.S. folk can buy the awesome Soul Bubbles!

Well no wonder I couldn't find that game anywhere.

Also, is Shaymin the little hedgehog thing with a lawn on it's back?
Anime is kind of like fish in that it is better the less "fishy" it is.

Yes, Shaymin is made of hedge and hedgehog.

I like your description better.

It's covered with eyes and it sweats constantly. The sweat runs into those eyes and makes them sting. It has no mouth, Laney, no genitals, and can only express its mute extremes of murderous rage and infantile desire by changing the channels on a universal remote. Or by voting in presidential elections."

You can't say things like "it's a hedgehog and a hedge" and not pique interest from uncanny sources.

None of this matters because Shaymin isn't Sudowoodo.

Sudowoodo is neat but not nearly as cute as Shaymin, or even Bonsly.
