Dear BW:

I know this is kinda late asking, but I think you have a book of mine. I left it with you/Joe while I was once visiting (Joe told me, a while back, he left it in your care--or, at least, at your house in Germantown). It's called Don Camillo Takes the Devil by the Tail and is by Giovanni Guareschi. It's pretty small--I don't have my measuring tape handy, but it's about the length of my index finger by the length of my palm, and no thicker than a centimeter (250ish pages). IIRC, It's Cold War era fiction--a fairly old book and a little delicate.

I'm reminded because I'm finally putting my books on bookshelves (fancy, ain't I?) and found its brother, Don Camillo and His Flock. I'd really like the book back--not only because it's bizarre and amusing, but also because it belonged to my grandfather.

Please let me know if you find it. :[

I remember this book quite well, because Joe and I had a good laugh about it. In fact, it turns out finding it wasn't nearly as big a chore as I thought it would be. It was actually on my bookshelf. What's up with that?

So, yes. We should arrange some sort of fraternal reunion.

Yes! You are the best. :D

I think the cheapest mailing options would be either First Class or Media Mail. Media Mail's a bit more expensive ($2.23 cents to mail a pound from 41005 to 21113--can't remember your zip code, but I do remember my old one), but you can ship Media Mail in a box, and I imagine you're more likely to have an appropriately-sized box laying around the home than an envelope ($2-4 at the P.O.).

If you'd like a little compensation for your shipping expenses, I can send you a couple DVDs for Panda-Z. I bought the first two DVDs, and then the box set, so now I have these DVDs just laying around, taking up room. It's tragic cuz they're all Panda-y and stuff.

I am not yet convinced that Panda-Z is right for me. From what I have seen, it seems to contain fairly equal amounts of awesome shit and dumbass shit. Of course, I haven't seen enough to get a proper handle on the true ratio.

I'll check around for box-like vessels tomorrow when I have some free time. I may actually have a padded envelope that will do the trick. WE SHALL SEE. Also, I am not entirely sure that I have any sort of real-world contact info for you... I'll have to hit you up on AIM in one of my rare windows where my being at the computer and my internet actually working coincide.

Or you could learn to use Gtalk. That would work better since I have it literally everywhere I go!

Also: I could send you Panda-Z, and you could determine if it's right for you!

Googletalk.

If you have gmail, you have gtalk. The client just lets you use it in a way that makes sense.

Right. Sorry, I'm so used to it I tend to forget that the G stands for something.

Oh shit, we have a PM system!

I'll get on that, but keep in mind that I have a bunch of other stuff going on right now, and that I am lazy.

Yeah, sure thing. Take your time. I mean, it's been how many years before I even asked about it?

Finally got your book mailed out to you yesterday. In penance for consistently forgetting about this for 3 and a half weeks, I will now share the second most adorable thing I've ever seen. This week.
