Shake ya Booty

Unread postby Ark » Tue Feb 26, 2008 8:42 pm

Oh something awesome just happened to me not 40 minutes ago.

My entire house shook!

I was like WOAH! Wheee And Wazzzaaaah!

Thinking on it I thought it couldn't be an Earthquake, cause this is England, we don't deal with that sort of rifff raff and all that. Maybe a gas pipe exploded or something.

Well: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7266136.stm

It was an Earthquake! In England!

Like, as long as no one was hurt or killed or anything... Awesome!!

I think its the Chinese. They over heard our school yard rumor that if we all jumped up and landed at the same time we'd cause a tidal wave to knock em out, so thusly they tried to do it first!

And Jak was accusing me of finding the resonance frequency of the house when shaking my leg under my desk.

Now, now. There was an earthquake in Mary Poppins, clearly this is a historical enough piece of documentary work that earthquakes are common enough over there, right?
"You haven't told me what I'm looking for."
"Anything that might be of interest to Slitscan. Which is to say, anything that might be of interest to Slitscan's audience. Which is best visualized as a vicious, lazy, profoundly ignorant, perpetually hungry organism craving the warm god-flesh of the anointed. Personally I like to imagine something the size of a baby hippo, the color of a week-old boiled potato, that lives by itself, in the dark, in a double-wide on the outskirts of Topeka. It's covered with eyes and it sweats constantly. The sweat runs into those eyes and makes them sting. It has no mouth, Laney, no genitals, and can only express its mute extremes of murderous rage and infantile desire by changing the channels on a universal remote. Or by voting in presidential elections."

Now that you let the earthquake in all the other natural disasters are going to want to come along and party on your property. See what happens when you let the rules slip just once?

Quite. And it was a rather rude earthquake as well. My fellows and I were indulging in a spot of virtual space imperialism when our residence trembled quite noticeably, leaving us all rather disturbed. Quite off putting, I'm sure you'll agree.

Whats next, a never-ending blizzard localized over Birmingham??

OH THE HORROR.

..Sorry about the earthquake. I feel the need to apologize for it, since it certainly won't fess up for its actions. :(

So, wait, is Lincolnshire the "booty" of England, kind of like Baltimore is the "sweaty armpit" of America?
Anime is kind of like fish in that it is better the less "fishy" it is.

I would have considered the southeast to be the booty of England, with Essex and Kent to each be a respective butt cheek. Henceforth, East Anglia would be the humpback, Wales would be the pregnant belly and Ireland being the prior child, with the Ilse of Man being a bit of projectle vomit.
