Boba Fett? What's a Boba Fett?

Unread postby Kai » Tue Jan 22, 2008 11:35 pm

Saw this linked on Star Wars Epics and thought it was worth relaying.

Star Wars TV Show: Boba Fett Confirmed (Producer says Fett is "instrumental" to the live-action series.)

<blockquote>McCallum clears up the rumors, telling Star Wars insider "The series will be about brand new characters, a group of people we haven't seen yet, except Boba Fett, who will be an instrumental part of it. The series will also showcase other bounty hunters."

McCallum says the series is about "what happens to an empire. It's a much darker, much more character-based thing. It's not as plot-driven [as the movies]." McCallum notes that the challenge they're facing at Lucasfilm is making the show "look like a feature on a television budget, with all new characters, new environments, new planets, and trying to keep the storyline alive for a lot of people."</blockquote>

Hell yes Fett. Hopefully good ol' George will stay the hell out of it and let it have a shot at being good.

Hey, Lucas isn't bad when he's just making an outline or framework and leaving the actual screenplay to someone else; he did come up with the basic structure for Episodes IV-VI, after all. It's when he takes that extra step and does his own writing that things get bad.

Just watch the entire series revolve around.... BOUNTY HUNTER HIGH! Where Bounty Hunters go to study, learn, and have fun. But amongst all the classes and books, they end up learning most...about themselves.

See Boba Fett fall in love, but be unable to find the words to express it!

Witness Bossk come to terms with his looks, and learn that it's inner beauty that matters!

Observe Dengar and 4-LOM learn something about teamwork, as these polar opposites have to work together on their big project!

Look at Greedo overcome bullies using his wits and his newfound friends!

All this and more, this fall on the WB. (9, 10 Central)

What? No IG88? All Four of them? Even the one who made himself the core of the second death star, almost ready to gain full control right before it got destroyed?

Worst series ever.

Gus just lost all respect points he's been saving up. >:(

I'll lend you the book, Gus. Though the amount of bullshit the IG88 story pulls can be astounding.

That's right. I'm not spoiling a what... 12 year old book? TAKE THAT!

Also, Jak is right. IG88 does some really... intriguing things.

I prefer Dengar personally. Him and his Twi'lek hussie. Go Hounds Tooth!

..Now I want to reread the Boba Fett trilogy... Where you find out HE ISN'T DEAD?!?!

...Ok, that was something you learn in the first few pages, so that's not a spoiler at all. If you pick that up and didn't know he's alive, then why are you reading those books???

Fett is
Spoiler:
still alive at the end of the Yuuzhan Vong war. Apparently nothing can kill him, not even old age.

Meh, it's not that good. Except for "Rebel Dream" and "Rebel Stand" by Aaron Allston. *fangirls*
