Hey Dia, I just wanted to ask you if Daniel had brought you those Maltese coins you wanted ages ago, because once 2008 rolls around they'll no longer be used, and will probably be harder to come by.

Oh and um... Hi guys :D

He sure did. What's up in 2008, going euro, or is there a new batch of coin designs?

Euro it is. Just thought about you saying that you wanted some while I was at work - Ironically at a bank.

You know, Mike and I were shopping at the local grocery store the other day, and I saw a piggy bank--clear plastic--full of shiny gold-colored coins. Now, there aren't many reasons for coins to be shiny and gold-colored around here. It is usually one of three reasons: [1] they are special editions coins made for collectors, actually made of some karat gold, [2] they are toy coins made to look like gold, [3] they are chocolate candy coins, wrapped in gold-colored foil.

I doubted it was the first, since the bank was closed and the piggy bank was left right out there in the open--but since the bank was closed and approaching a bank and fiddling with its property might be seen as slightly suspicious, I never did find out what those coins were.

Frown.

What about new dollar coins? They're shiny and look like gold, could have been a piggy bank full of them.

I don't know, I haven't seen them in person. But if they're anything like the Sacagawea coins, then, only if they've never been touched. Cuz those things tarnish to the color of...something that doesn't look at all like gold.

They're decently convincing while newly minted, though. As much as plastic coins or chocolate coins, anyway.

I had about 20 Sacagawea coins in my change box and when I went to go spend them I saw they'd all changed like purple and green and it was stupid and I hate them they're not even cool.

Purple and green? That's totally cool.

I'll take 'em.

I think I spent 'em on a CD. The CD has a song on it called Pink and Green though.

Dude, I don't even know what you're talking about. Purple and green coins is exactly what this nation needs.
