Let's all sit here and wallow in our self-misery. The worst part? It doesn't even seem like they're going to use this time improve the gave at all. It's just for the flippin' art book. I mean, hey, I love art books and stuff, but come on. I wanna play the damn game! I won't even touch the art book until I finish the game, anyway. Summer is rapidly draining away, and I'm losing precious time that could be drained into another dark RPG! The pure atrocity of this choice by ATLUS is absolutely mind-boggling in its cruelty! I've resorted to leveling up other monsters for no reason in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne on the PS2 in an attempt to keep my enthusiasm whetted while still not losing my desire to walk the streets under the holy light of the Kagutsuchi!!!

Well, I'm glad I was too lazy to get up to go buy it the other day, then. Still, I'm left with Zelda 2, Valkyrie Profile 2, Wild ARMs 3 and 4, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, and Final Fantasy 12 to get to, and I work full time, AND GenCon is coming up, so three weeks will pass like the blink of an eye to me.

WRITHE IN TORMENT!

Oh, the writhing!

Hey, Wild Arms 3 is a fantastic game, but I haven't heard anything especially good about #4. And why in god's name are you playing Zelda 2, of all things?

I am playing Zelda 2 because its fights are fights and not puzzles. I lost all motivation to play Twilight Princess when I saw Shini face off against that dragon boss, and came to understand that boss fights are really cheapened if the boss behaves in the same stupid pattern just so that the player can have an easy opening to attack. No thanks, I'd rather my opponents actually TRY to gut me.

Just, some of them are doing a very good job at it.

You have a good point there, Priam...both the GC and Wii Zeldas' bosses are plagued by pattern-ness. But I would urge you to try out the GBC Zeldas if you're still looking for a good challenege.

Bosses might not be trying (hard) to kill you, but Darknuts sure are.

Ia am upset about the delay too, however as I really want the art book I don't mind all that much, as I really want art books. Gimme, gimme, gimme! I am angered though if they're flipping the art in the ark book and may have to kill them. You don't flip art! Its wrong! WRONG!! It was bad enough when I found out they flipped old manga books but at least there was a semi-good reason for it. But flipping a art book!? NOOOOOOO!!!!! Travesty!

And after thats released there's Wild Arms 5! Yay!

Good times.

What if they flip the art book, but they give you a complimentary mirror?

Then I'll only eat there legs and arms while they watch but keep them alive.

Zelda 2 is now done. Not a moment too soon, either; the power dropped for a moment no later than ten seconds after I landed the deciding blow, erasing all of my progress in the game.

Next up: Valkyrie Profile 2!

Hey, if you really want to get all bitchy about it, let's all carp on about how our Persona 3 isn't getting FES. The way I figure it, it's coming out only so many days short of BioShock's release on the Xbox 360 (and the PC). Two good games within one expanse of time... it can't be a coincidence. It must've been planned, somehow...

Also: Still need to finish Raw Danger, Odin Sphere, The Suffering: Ties that Bind, Panzer Dragoon Orta... yeah. Not exactly out of gaming material, myself.

This is true. I don't understand why they would bring us the special edition of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, just as great a game as Persona 3, but not the special edition version of P3...

Then again, the Persona series has had a history of getting royally fucked over here. For some reason this makes sense....

Persona 1 horribly censored and edited? Persona 2 only being half-released here?

Yeah. It's a shame, too, since it's basically my favorite SMT series. D:

So, hey, I have this now, and has been a good thing to get my head into rather then think of other stuff until I have to.

Spoilers follow?

It is damn good. I did pretty damn well on my Mid Terms, my Kendo career isn't all that great though, and I hardly ever do my student council duties. Still me and my ramen eating mate are getting on alright, even if he's trying to hit on a teacher. I met a friendly old pair in a used book store, got an online buddy on Innocent Sin and met a young girl at the local shrine.

I'm up to level 21 in the... big... place. Tartirus or whatever its name is. Love the fighting system. Exploting weaknesses is my pleasure.

So yeah! Good game.

Spoiler tags exist, too.

I will probably pick the game up this week. Maybe. Possibly. If I'm not too lazy. Which I am.

Oh, hey, guess what. This game is pretty awesome.

I think my favorite part of the package is the fact that they throw vocals into the regular battle theme and actually make them work. Impressive stuff.

Carded!?

What the hell man? Do you guys need to carry a card to be able to buy games or something? A screening process to show that your mentally fit to play a game and not liable to start killing people because video game violence taught you it was worth points?

It may be different in Britain (judging from your reaction, it has to be) but you can't get certain videogames of a certain rating (or do trade-ins, for some reason) without proper ID. It's the way they protect the children from the BLOOD AND GORE AND SEX AND CURSE WORDS.

... too bad parents are too stupid to know not to buy violent games for their kids...

Oh yes! Of course!

No its not different here its just when it was implemented I was at the age where it never effected me anyway, so I just plain forgot about the whole Don't Sell Demonic Games To Toddlers thing.

That and I can't even remember the last game I actually brought from a store anyway, what with amazon normally being cheaper even after adding shipping costs and all.

As an extra: Everyone I know would say that as being "ID"
*shrugs*

How do you change that into a verb?

Also, Cha hates all parents everywhere, always and for all time.

Hey, hey! I don't hate ALL parents. Just the lazy ones who don't invest enough time in their children's lives, and eventually blame the video games when they should have actually gotten off their asses and do some proper child rearing.

Yeah, those ones suck.

I can't tell whether your position is that violent video games do cause violent behavior, or that violent video games don't cause violent behavior.

If they do, then quit saying the blame on video games is misplaced.

If they don't, then what's the problem with parents buying violent games for their kids?

You can't have it both ways, picking the most popular, warm-fuzzy opinion for the situation.
