Does anyone here play the first Neverwinter Nights game? I just recently got it and was hoping to do some multiplayer something or other with someone in the near future.

I...kinda do. See, my computer sucks to the point where if I play NWN on it, it runs -really- slowly. However, on my grandparents' computer, it runs normally.
So basically, if you want multiplayer with me, you have to have tons of patience.
I can give advice on it though.

Warning: Post is totally useless
I got it, but I lost my CDs, so I recently downloaded the whole thing and have been playing without a CD. As I cannot remember my log-in to play online, I cannot do so. :(
Besides, the main game's campaign bores the hell out of me. At Sage's suggestion I started up Shadows of the Underdark last night and I'm really enjoying myself, though.
I stand corrected! Using the powers of net wizardry, I have retrieved my once-lost username and password. If you want to play sometime, shoot me an IM; the multiplayer is WAY more fun than the single player if you ask me.
Edit: Don't update your game version; IM me first, because we might have to do some weird workarounds.

Have it, but gaming PC is bricked (for the moment). Last time I tried to run it it disagreed with my system, too :[
If anyone needs a CD key to pop online, pop me an IM and I can provide. Got one for the first expansion too (Shadows of Undrentide), but nothing for the Underdark one.

NWN officially has THE BEST copy protection scheme I've ever seen. I am so impressed I'm tempted to call their customer service line and applaud their efforts.
I'm going to go out and buy a copy of the game this weekend, since it's only $20 for the whole thing plus the expansions. I lost my original game disc and never bougt the expansions anyway; I think I paid $40-50 for the original game at the time, so this is a great deal as far as I'm concerned, especially if a couple other people want to play--or even just Bes.

Huh. Guess an ISO file of the disk is out of the question, then, Brian?

HE already has one; The game protection checks your CD key for validity pretty much no matter what kind of multiplayer you play. We did figure out a way around it last night, though. ... Or I think Cyril did. Whee.

Actually, usually I get really bored of MMORPGs after about...5-10 minutes, but I really liked NWN. I thought the system was really well-done, and I had a lot of fun just running around doing quests. I guess the atmosphere/construction of the game world just fit my interests. I never beat it or anything, but I did have a lot of fun with it.
