I just noticed this... does the new forum have a Test Forum for avatars and sigs? I don't see one...

Since changes to avatars/sigs are made retroactively (I believe) it was considered unnecessary.

Oh. That makes sense. I just wanted to get some opinions on whether we've parodied 300 so much that a sig like this

wouldn't be amusing. Or if it might be too large for 56Kers.

Not my fault 300 humour wore itself out. That and big moving images are distracting as heck as signatures.

No problem with humor, but big animated gifs tend to distract/wear the eyes out rather easily.

Have to say, I'm in agreement with Zero about that sig. Everyone and their dog's made a 300 "this is Sparta" joke by now, it's really pretty worn out. :(

...Isn't the specific phonology of Ancient Greek lost, Gus, so we can only approximate it with the phonology of Modern Greek? Or am I thinking of a different language?

There's some things we definitely know, and some things we have to guess. I'm crap at pronounciation anyway so it's not like it mattered, I just liked using the words.
