I found my first ever comic the other day. That is the first time I ever put pencil to very small paper to try and tell a story via.. Oh hell with it, yeah just a comic. I had drawn way before this comic was made but this was defiantly the first time I had made my own characters and tried to tell a story. The one I made after this was this guy landing on mars and going crazy with a chainsaw. After that some hard case fighting off aliens...

For fun and amusement (well I find it fun and amusing) I'm scanning the pages as they were and sharing them. I got the first 15 pages done before work so lets share:

Oh an ominous scene for the title of this comic. A man with spikes out of his neck and a strange sign in the background... And whats this? A dead body? What shall lead to such a scene?
Page One: Well what seems to be a normal start to the day ends with an explosion! Could anyone survive that? And what caused it?

Page Two: Seems he has survived and will be fine. Note that black eyes was my way of saying this guy had severe damage.
Page Three: But whats this!? A Demon!? Where's this happening? Why the sudden scene change? Who is the man in quesion!? Whats happening here!?

Author note: Back then I couldn't be bothered making up names so everyone in my stories was called Scott or John, or Iain or Paul or whoever's name I remembered.

The Carsinact? Why do I have a feeling I'm just throwing three different words together to try and make a new one? Lots of foreshadowing here.

The Sign! (or sihn?) from the title page! And whats this on page seven!? There, on his neck, could it be!?! Does this foretell the scene from the title?

Page 8: Well we've jumped to the next day as we obviously had nothing to concern us about what happened during that time. It seems our Scott has decided to take a walk and is crossing the ro-Look out Scott!!
Oh dear...
Page 9: Oh the city has been exploded too and a giant. . . Face? has taken Scott. Who is this mysterious black figure!? And yeah one would think a city being destroyed could be a problem.

It seems our mysterious figure and this. . . Face?. . . Know each other (no one seems concerned an entire city was blown up for no reason). Very confusing speech happening here. Seems this figure is interested in getting Scott back. Or at least stopping this. . . Face?

Page 12: Let Us Battle! If You Say So!
Ah the banter, the ego, both of these warriors obviously are fully confident of there skills and it shows in this stare down!
Page 13: And what an epic battle it is!! But it seems our mysterious figure has lost and is about to be swallowed by the giant... face?

Page 14: Whats this!? As soon as the figure was about to be eaten another figure bursts out of the top of the. . . Face? and saves the figure that is mysterious, rushing to Earth.
But the. . . face? meerily laughs at this turn of events. Surely this wasn't all planned!?
Page 15: It seems the mysterious figure is a girl! A cute one at that, and it was Scott who saved her.
She'll be okay!

To be continued!
Next time expect A mysterious Brother, A ninja, Death and more death and a cute flying bald fairy.
Also as an added extra: See recently redrawn versions of the characters (like drawn today at work). Will this go anywhere!?

So yeah, this drawn comic got people at school to tell me I'm an Awsome Artist. Funny stuff. Enjoy and Laugh

Not only that but my room was always really cold, no matter how high I had the radiator on. I also tended to spew up a Green Liquid type substance now and then. Very odd times.

Blasts from the pasts are fun. Plus showing how terrible an artist I was when I was 13 to 14 years old (not sure which here) makes me giddy. Bad art is fun.

We left off with Scott looking over the mysterious figure/person who so happened to be a cute girl. She's going to be okay, which Scott can tell just by looking at her.

So onwards we go!

Page 16: Well shes awake and seems to know who Scott it.
Page 17: Apprently because she's the casinact who have to look after people... So I guess that means she has to know there names too.
Seems the demons words came true! He did meet the carsinact so.. I guess we assume he's in love with her.

Do you have a name?
Yes. Which one?
Carsinact
Pardon?
I said nothing.
Dialog aside, it seems that mark on his neck is speaking and in doing so has started a change within Scott.

Well it seems the change is a melted face!! And he's attacked the carsinact! Or so it is assummed!

Best smug grinning floating face ever. Also we seem to be at a church.
Now I'm not sure I follow this BUT it seems Scott slashed his own face instead
But his face was melted off at the time so how is that possible!? Oh well.
So what happened to the Carsinact?
Why is that sign so important anyway!?

Seems now we're with the person watching the T.V., who decided that all those words were boring so turned the T.V. off.
Aren't you glad I'm here to comment on this as we go along?

Page 26:Ooops someones left the tap running...
Page 27: Oh we're with Scott. and he's screaming at his face.
I think possibilly we're in the next day and Scott has awoken not knowing what happened the previous night. Or not.
So eh.. what did happen to the carsinact?

Page 28: Ut Oh indeed! How on earth are you going to get that clothes rack out of that head now? In fact.. how did you get that head there in the first place?
Seems a killing spree happened!
Page 29: Oh dear, spikes out of the neck with lughter, never a good sign.
Its here the face hopefully becomes a little clearly. It is in fact: The Sun!! (How it appeared in the night time around the church I don't know).
Almost looks like the title page guy eh?

Page 30: Alright so in his eye is the sign as well and Scotts repeating what its saying. A little girl passes and...
Page 31: Hello title page!
It seems that killing this girl repaired his eye as well! Acts of extreme violence rewarded with more humanity!?

Page 32: Oooohkay the Carsinact is back in space. Carano is now mentioned and the girl runs off to find her brother?
Page 33: Meet the brother.

Ah! See the intense concentration in his eyes as he prepares his sword for action!

Hazzah! Chop!

Look I need your help. Who is casano?

If this was an RPG we would have either had a fade to black moment or a silent head bobbing explanation moment here.
Seems Scott should die eh? Poor Scott.

This was purposefully setup so it would show the close bond and understanding these two siblines share. Can you feel it!?
Brother thinks sister needs help! Is he right!?

Page 40: Here I prove myself a genius before my time. Bare in mind I had not even heard of DBZ by this point. Project A-ko, Akira, 3x3 eyes and Urotjokiedoji(whatever) was all the anime I had seen.
See I understood that hurrying actually meant:
1) Train some more
2) Change your costume
3) Have a conversation
4) Wait until shit goes down
5) Then actually toddle on to the action.
Page 41: Its been a long build up but finally we're at the place I wanted this comic to go to. Murder! Death! Horrible killings!!
Face meet hand! SPLAT!
Hand meet guy. SPLAT!
Two people (yes they're different) dead! Awsome!

Off with his head.
And the Hurrying Brother changes his suit and tells us about it... wait.. isn't that a sub-zero/scorpion mask?

Page 44: This is my greatest four panel comic ever.
1) Brother: I hope shes okay
2) Sister: Hi Scott *all smiles* ^_^
3) Sister: Gulp o_o

*Axe coming right at ya*
4) Sister: *Decap attack*
Page 45: The cute fairy thing is here!! Who's a bit of a dick really.
Bad news boy.
What? (Apprently the only news he ever tells him about is his sister as he guessed it was about her)
She's dead.
Tact is not his strong point.
also the brother now does look like a Mortal Kombat warrior. I wonder if the game had come out by this point or if I was looking forward to it?

Oh.. it seems its okay she died by decap. Thats alright then.
It seems we weren't on Earth by the way.
I do like the way the earth seems to be held by the sun in that last panel. Very foreboding.

Well Scotts surprised! At the incoming Brother or the talking decapitated sister? Who knows!
Oooh Three spikes! Awsome.

Splated against a wall where all he can do is watch the dude home in on him and
SMASH!!!
Intense battle!

The fairy happily watches as the Brother pounds Scotts face. I think I probably looked at my own fist to draw the second panel.
His power his an awsome beam of power!

Scotts lasts words: Gulp. As a sword is swining down and cuts it in half.

The End.

Yeah thats it.
What of the mystery of the demon!?
What of the mystery of Casano?
What exactly is a carsinact and why is decapitation something thats easily fixed!?
How come the city was destroyed but everywhere seemed fine the next day!?
What the hell happened!?

Well in the end we'll never know as no more was done from that point. I remember the comic being an enjoyable experience mostly fueled by stuff like "Wouldn't it be cool if he put his hand through someones face?" and "Wouldn't it be cool if the brother could fly and use a sword, and have powerful zapping powers?"

I think I could learn a lot from that Me.

Well we've seen the comic as it was, a ride through violence, mystery and drama. So now let us peek into the working of the remake - perhaps coming this 2007.

All pictures have been kept to the same scale to each other and the comic.

Ah here we see the first sketch of the main character Scott. The remake will be diving into a lot more of the person Scott was, is and will become. Note the name Scott is not defianate.

As shown in the title page, here is Scott looking strangly calm, relaxed and happy. The concept of Mental was the idea of a man who could commit awful inhuman acts and look as calm as a man relaxing in his back garden.

The first time a horn breaks its way through. Hopefully this will show how this is not meant to be a pleasent experience but in fact, a down right painful one.

The Demon Scott. Twisted and mutalated, with what seems to be a hole in the middle of his chest.

The Carsinact (keeping that name? Who knows!) wearing a dress rather then the almost miltary uniform she wore in the orginial. Her character is described as Thoughtful and Clingy. She attaches herself to people too much.

Could this be the brother? A trained fighter, he is said to be overly protective of his sister and far too violent. Perhaps not that nice a guy. . .

The annoying naked fairy.

Although it was never made very clear, the evil entity that was twisting mankind was in fact The Sun. The choice may have to made as to weather they fight the sun (how!? How knows) and stopping its influence... which would plunge the Earth into eternal darkness.. or just deal with each problem as it arises, forever in the grasp of its power.
A no win situation.

And now we enter into stuff that orginially wasn't drawn for the Mental comic but ended up being similar, or even useable.

A female demon with four spikes for legs.

An insect Demon. Is it as large as a man or as the fairy?

Intense manly stares and a demon with spikes. A common theme. By the way this was drawn a fair time before I found and scanned this comic... so the spikes are a coincidence - or it just shows I haven't changed my ways in over 10 years.

Horrorfying.

Well thats it for the extra's. I was going to delve deeper into the whole thing (why? and how? Cause I can) but it is very late at this moment so later.

My favorite part is how the clock on the first page looks like a <s>"lol"</s> "lol".

Also, that sun reminds me of something I made up when I was about six called the Evil Sun, which was based on the sun that attacks you in Super Mario Brothers 3. It was the head of a vast criminal network that employed the likes of Bowzer, who was basically the Bowzer from the Mario games but who mainly robbed banks; a creature named Cobrat, who looked sort of like Bowzer who started off as a military commander and then became an assassin with a robotic endoskeleton that would electricute people when he ripped into their guts; and Sub Zero, who came along a bit later. It also had Robotnik as an ally.

Cobrat's the only one of those characters I still employ, and he's now an emperor.
