Well, I would like for you all to post all of the webcomics you currently find interesting and amusing. I mean, currently the webcomics I currently think are worth looking at are a shrinking breed. Those poor sons of.... but that's not important. The IMPORTANT thing is NEW webcomics. ELUCIDATE. ELABORATE. e.e

All the ones I check no matter how often:

Girl Genius
Penny Arcade
PvP
Somthig Positive
Order of the Stick (Just recently started on the archives)
Dominic Deegan
Shortpacked
Drow Tales
Looking for Group
Pearls Before Swine
Gone with the Blastwave (On hiatus, woe..)
Grim Tales from Down Below (God, okay, I know I said I don't like Bleedman's comics anymore, but I do like the art, so sue me.)
Perry Bible Fellowship
Bizzare Uprising
VG Cats
Cigarro & Cerveja
Jack
Bohemian Drive (HARDLY updates, but still worth a read.)
Comet 7
Beaver and Steve

Though, I'm starting to question why I still read Dominic Deegan... Oh yeah, Luna And Melsheena. (Tusks ftw.)

Edit: Interesting to see someone else who has read Exterminatus Now . I used to then stopped. The forumla kept getting a might stale. The art was damn good for a sonic-style comics, though. I've seen many a comic in that style (mostly sprites) and never were they done that fresh and crisp.

And, damn you! I've totally been meaning to add SMBC to my favorites.

Edit 2: Anyone else remember a OLD Keenspace comic called Self Insert? I quite liked it. (Moreso since they did Haunted Junction and I've never heard of anyone else watching that besides me and one other person. )

Yeah, Exterminatus had a good storyarc recently involving an assassination, and before that some mutant stuff. So there's been some continuity, which I like.

I remember Self-Insert. Isn't that the one where the guy woke up a girl. Reminds me of Misfile, only better.

Er. Questionable Content, Shortpacked, and Dr. McNinja. Probably going to stop with QC cause it's full of relationship humor now instead of making fun of crappy indie bands (yes, I know that's redundant).

It could be the same one. I know they used to have this thing where they suddenly appear in a random anime fandom (Slayers, Haunted Junction, Saber Marionette, and so on) and interact with the characters before going into another one. They might have changed it to somethng else in the middle. I know they suddenly stopped doing the self insert bit and attempted something different.. I think.

After a quick search on GOOGLE!

Actually the best part of JLCM is that you can (most of the time) get the joke even if you haven't seen the movie he is talking about.

Jesus, there's some people with some serious webcomic addictions over here. Although I suppose I can't really comment on that since I still read Megatokyo for some reason.

I've only got 7 that I check with any regularity, although Comedity is doing it's best to lose it's spot on my list. Archives are great; recent stuff, not so much.

I didn't see anyone mention Scary Go Round, which makes me and probably Lex very sad :(

Also, why aren't more people reading Dr.McNinja?

And because there's a few interesting story threads (notably Miho's) that I really want to see the end of.

I read Megatokyo for the same reason I still watch the Simpsons. It was once the best at what it did, but somewhere it lost that. Now I watch in hope that one day it'll all go back to the golden days.

I've had SGR on my favs since it started (although Bobbin's end made me sad). It's great, and I love John's art style. I have... one of the books, Girl Spy, and countless shirts, like Bunsen-Burner Monster. I feel like a fangirl. Allison makes the BEST shirt designs.

Doctor McNinja was great for a while, but when it got to the Mexican velociraptor-riding banditos hunting Ronald McDonald with a rocketpack made of flesh, I thought to myself "this comic doesn't make sense to me anymore."

There are a LOT of good comics that I don't read anymore because their updating schedules are haphazard. Not that I'm turning Entitlement; I just don't like having to check those comics every day in hopes that they updated.

I think for what it tries to be--namely, an American-made manga--it does pretty well. Very well, even. I know a lot of people wish it would go back to the days of gaming jokes, but there are a lot of other comics out there that do that anyway.

And I think that Megatokyo opened an important door in terms of publishing; I think it was one of the first webcomics to really get pulled together and distributed in book form in stores as large as, say, Borders. (I could be wrong about this, but that's my impression.) It established precedent, that hey, these webcomic things might actually have some merit. Now you can find quite a number of collected webcomics on the shelves of the big bookstores-- I actually discovered Inverloch this way, when randomly browsing the manga section. So I think it deserves some sort of acknowledgment for that, even if you maybe don't like where the story's gone.

It's not that I think Megatokyo sucks outright. It's just that, it's really not for me. I don't really dig on the whole "emo romance manga" genre. But for some reason I keep checking up on it anyway, even though Piro has the most erratic updating schedule ever. For a full-time "mangaka" or whatever, he sure does have trouble with deadlines.
Anime is kind of like fish in that it is better the less "fishy" it is.

There were three things that made me drop Megatokyo. The plodding pace, the nearly indistinguishable female character designs to the point that I had no clue what was going on by the time I dropped it, and the erratic schedule that Brian already mentioned. Sure, if it's someone's past time, I'm not going to complain about someone missing any number of updates. But once it moves to someone's job, where they're actually living off of the proceeds from it, I think they've got a greater obligation to their audience.

He draws good buildings, though.

well, the full name of the comic was "Concerned: the half-life and death of Gordon Frohman", so it was implied that he was going to die at the end from the very begining, we all knew it was going to happen, we just wanted to pretend it wouldn't.
