One more multiplayer game

Anybody else have Dungeon Siege? It's more of a Diablo-style game, so it's a lot less hectic and more intuitive than Starcraft, though it can still be pretty intense. I've been wanting to go multiplayer on it lately, if anyone else is interested.
Edit:
Here is the page where one downloads patches for this game.
Also: Take note of the "Tool Kit" that can be downloaded from this page, which is basically a Map Editor. Now, consider what one could do with a Map Editor for a real-time multiplayer RPG...

I played DS for a while. In the end I was sort of disappointed. I dislike it largely for the reasons I dislike Diablo 2. ... That said, this game could easily be much more fun for other folks than it was for me. I'm pretty sure the online element was free.

On second thought, I've just looked at that map editor and either it's too complicated for me or my computer isn't running it right. I know that the second possibility is at least partially true because it seems to be unable to identify a video card it needs. So, I don't think I'll be messing with that after all.

Man, if you guys got a game of that going I would go out and buy it in a second. I always thought that game was designed for multiplayer.

It is! Too bad it's balance is broken. Melee fighters can chug healing potions all day to keep themselves alive, thus removing the need for nature mages (primary healers), who got bugger all experience because EXP was based on damage done.

....
And none of the developers/programmers saw this as a flaw?

More likely, the game was intended to be played single-player, not extensively playtested for multi-player (it was probably tacked on just because every game has to have multiplay nowadays or people get pissed), and then they never patched it because unlike, say, Blizzard, they don't fucking care.

Nature magic can do some damage. Given, the more damaging spells will eat up your mana, but they can be pretty effective at weakening groups of enemies. You can also use it to summon some pretty decent monsters. You gain experience for damage done by your summoned creatures, or at least you do in the current version. Nature mages are designed so that they don't just spend the whole time healing people.
Also, don't specialize in one field. In the multiplayer mode, I tend to build up at least two skills at once. Your character becomes more strategically versitile this way.
Edit: There's also a spell that temporarily switches skill in nature magic for skill in combat magic.
Edit 2: In fact, a bit of experimentation has revealed that a fully dedicated nature mage actually kicks a lot of ass when played solo.
