You'll be a man if you cut your teeth on rum on the rocks.
If you can handle that, you can handle anything.
... and don't get too attached to the rocks.

If you're teeth are getting cut at all, you need to remember to drink the liquid, not the glass object it's contained in!

That works. But for the love of various deities, don't drink Bacardi.

Beer. Lots and lots of beer.
Specifically, some Shiner Bock
Maybe some Zeigen Bock.
Fat Tire.
Corona when the weather is warm.
GUINNESS!!! --Although, it's best when served in Ireland.
New Castle Brown.
Samuel Adams (pretty dang good, believe it or not).
Heineken.
Miller Lite (see comment after Sam Adams).
Also! Try Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale and tell me what you think...

Never drink beer, ever. Except maybe Guiness or Sam Adams, but still don't expect it to actually be good. Palpable is about the best you can hope for.
Then again, I have a weakness for fruity girly driks, so what the Hell do I know?

Hey hey. Don't diss the happy ale.
I admit, beer is an acquired taste. You have to drink it several times before you actually "like it".
But, I've recommended the BEST ones to sample, so you don't have to worry about "bad" beer.

Long Island Iced Teas are good. Cider is tasty.

Brian and I discovered that raspberry vodka disappears into Country Time pink lemonade.
White Russians (White Barians on this forum).
Irish cream. Very yes.
Egg nog with rum in it, which I should make today now that I'm thinking about it.
Try cosmopolitan cocktails. They taste like Jolly Ranchers most of the time, but you might like it.
Vermouth is vile. I would recommend never drinking anything with vermouth in it.
A whole list of wines, which if you've never had wine before can be really hit or miss. Just try one of each. Try a heavy red like chianti, a blush wine like a blush chablis or even a white zinfandel, and a white wine like chardonnay. More pretentious wine babbling is trying to get out, so I'm going to stop here.

I need to write all this down!
I'd heard cosmopolitans were good, but I was worried I'd look sissy if I got one.
I agree with BW, beer is usually not good. Dead Guy Ale's ok, but I prefer the harder stuff.

Beer's a good STARTER. And make sure you like the brand first. I suggest Kokanee or MGD, and I suggest AGAINST Budweiser. That stuff's ass.

Beer is actually a horrible starter because, as has been said, it's an acquired taste. Meanwhile, stuff like spiced rum and irish cream is good from day one.

Counterpoint!
Once you do get used to it (and you should at least try) it IS a good starter, due to it's relatively low alcohol rate. But hey, I forgot not everyone likes beer. Do what you're most comfortable with!
... also:
I just haven't found an excuse for that emote yet.

I like a lot of different things and Kai mentioned most of them already.
Gin and tonics made with Bombay Sapphire gin are pretty good, if you ask me, but they're not a "sweet" beverage, so it kinda depends what you're in the mood to drink. Gin and 7-up/Slice/Sierra Mist also works.
Jagermeister, which you have already tried, mixes excellently with Dr. Pepper. It comes highly recommended. In fact, most booze that you can mix with cola (rum comes to mind) also mixes well, if not better, with Dr. Pepper.

for no good reason!

I went out and bought some Mike's Hard Lemonade.
It's pretty good. I like lemonade. But you shouldn't drink this if you want to get Drunk, because it's got practially nothing...

Mike's Hard and similar "alco-pops" are pretty tasty, but at roughly 3-5% by volume, they're a lousy way to "get drunk," assuming that's what you're going for, or even to get a buzz. On one hand, they have about the same amount of alcohol as beer. On the other hand, I find that drinking beer for the express purpose of becoming intoxicated is a tedious process that leaves me feeling more full than drunk, partly because I don't like chugging liquids. It always baffled me why frat boys tout things like "the beer bong" when you could get the same alcohol content from a shot that you can from chugging twelve ounces of the cheapest malt beverage they could find at the 7-11. Then again, there's a lot of hard liquor at frat parties, too, so I suppose it's just a matter of different strokes.
If you like Mike's, try Smirnoff Twisted, another "malternative," in various flavors; I highly recommend the black cherry, as it's my personal favorite. The orange flavor is also very good. They're all pretty good, in fact, but I think the black cherry is a cut above the rest.

Only thing alcoholic I've ever had to drink was a pina colada and a strawberry daquiri, so my opinion on this subject is a moot point.

You know, I still haven't tried that and probably should. I have a fucking gallon of rum or something.

It's a battle between Yuri Smoothies, FNWCs (Which were not invented here!), and Silky Sailors.

Schnapps. Green Apple Schnapps mixed with Sprite equals out to a delicious taste with moderate alcohol content.
