I agree with Jak. If you could mass produce and market those things they would make the most awesome minimalist christmas trees ever.

You may remember This dude from his parody of Louie Armstrong's "Wonderful World" in the form of Super Mario World. Well, he's got other stuff, too! His videos adding lyrics to the Mega Man 2 and 3 title themes are highly recommended. By me.

I'm sure quite a few of us remember those 4-panel Nyoro~n Tsuruya comics that became a bit popular a while back.

As horrifying (and hilarious) as that is, you can tell that it was made with a lot of love. Also, that guy's "The American Akira" video is another amusing spoof of the sorts of thing American animation does. Unfortunately, the rest of his videos, not so great.

But I did find this in his favorites. I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of electronica, but there are some pretty cool things you can do with it, and creating a piece of music almost entirely composed of sounds from Disney's Alice in Wonderland, one of my favorite animated movies of all time, is a pretty good way to reel me in to the genre.

Whoa, two posts in a row.

I just had to post this. Shit like this makes me wonder what enterprising coders are going to be able to accomplish in today's video games in the future, when they're 20+ years old.

What? What possible reason could there be for the construction of such a thing? Policemen's Ball?

And yeah. Douche move, United. Douche move. One thing, though... though I don't doubt the power of the internet, this guy might have, oh, I don't know, A LEGAL CASE? Why not freakin' sue, moron? Jeez...

Because he didn't want to spend the tons of legal fees over a single guitar, if I remember right. But United's president has already gotten in touch with him, apologized, reimbursed him, and even asked if this video could be used for purposes of employee training, as a "what not to do" type thing.

So... he spent next to nothing, got exactly what he wanted and more, and helped changed the policies of a huge corporation.

... yep. That's the sound of me shutting my stupid mouth alright...

You've all seen impressive cake-sculptures before. Except you haven't, because these people have elevated the art form to it's final perfection. Seriously, there's nowhere else they can go from here. I'm sure Mike is actually sitting on the roof of his shop right now, sitting patiently and awaiting young aspiring culinary professionals upon whom he can bestow his vast wisdom.

So I'm sure we've all seen videos of talented musicians taking video game music and rendering them in more traditional media. Well, there's more of that in this video, but there are two moments in particular that set it apart as a truly exceptional performance.

Holy Jesus this is awesome. Swedish band's tribute to the early days of gaming, through the mediums of music and Lego.

So Sweden was good for something after all! Other than Yngwie Malmsteen.
