I just finished a D&D thingermabobber, and am running a PS game. Archmage is running a game in MAC with a variant of GURPS.

Playing D&D with engineers has its ups and its downs. Everybody... *optimizes*. Thus, to keep up with the power level I must also... optimize.

This leads to... interesting stories. Like the relativistic rotating room.
