Okay, so I'm sure by now you guys are all aware of the fact that there's a new Zelda game out there. If you're as big a nerd as I am, you might also know that Link has, traditionally, always been a lefty. This raises a bit of a problem for the Wii version of Twilight Princess, since you slash with the Wiimote to have Link slash with his sword, and thrust with the Nunchuck to have link bash with his shield. Since the vast majority of gamers are going to be holding the wiimote in their right hand, Nintendo thought it would probably be a good idea to have the gamer's right hand correspond to the character's right hand. Fairly sensible; nothing wrong with that.
Here's what doesn't make sense. This control scheme issue doesn't exist on the GameCube, so they didn't have any reason to break tradition and have a right-handed Link. So, they didn't. So then, what happened when they decided to develop the game for the Wii? They
inverted the entire fucking game. Every location, every monster, every dungeon, every NPC,
everything is mirrored.
WTF? No, seriously. I have a hard time believing that it is somehow easier/more effective/more efficient/ whatever to flip the
entire game than it would be just to flip the player's character model. I mean, you might have to fiddle with a couple cinematics as well or something, but come on.
Everything? <p><div style="text-align:center">
