FF hopes for another Tales game, Part 2!

Unread postby FF Fanatic 80 » Tue Dec 05, 2006 9:03 am

<FONT FACE="Verdana,Arial" SIZE=2>So, years ago, back when playstation first came out, there was this obscure RPG released for it, called Tales of Destiny.

It was unlike any other RPG I'd played up to that point, with battles that were real-time and street-fighter-ish. It was a lot of fun, and made even more so when I realized you could do multi-player. It didn't get a lot of press at the time, due to poor timing on Namco's part. Note to Namco, STOP RELEASING THESE WHEN FINAL FANTASY COMES OUT v_v)

Anyways, since then, the series has slowly gotten more press time, with Tales of Symphonia being a big hit for the GameCube. Sadly, it's probably more to do with the lack of good RPG's on the system. With the PS2 games, the same success can't be said, as Tales of Legendia did poorly, and it seems Tales of the Abyss is heading down that road as well.

With all that in mind, it appears Namco is doing a full-blow, completely from the group up remake of Tales of Destiny. And it looks f@#king awesome

With the prior info in mind, should I even consider for a moment this has a chance in hell of getting released?</FONT><FORM method=post action="http://p068.ezboard.com/frpgww60462frm3.processVote?topicID=5172.topic"><table border=0 cellpadding=3 cellspacing=0 width="55%"><tbody><tr><td><input type="radio" name="choice" value="1"><FONT FACE="Verdana,Arial" SIZE=2>Miracles can happen!</FONT></td></tr><tr><td><input type="radio" name="choice" value="2"><FONT FACE="Verdana,Arial" SIZE=2>HAHAHAAHAH NYO =[</FONT></td></tr><tr><td><input type="radio" name="choice" value="3"><FONT FACE="Verdana,Arial" SIZE=2>Screw Tales Games, I want Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball! =O</FONT></td></tr><tr><td><input type="radio" name="choice" value="4"><FONT FACE="Verdana,Arial" SIZE=2>Aren't you supposed to be the FINAL FANTASY Fanatic?</FONT></td></tr><tr><td><input type="radio" name="choice" value="5"><FONT FACE="Verdana,Arial" SIZE=2>What the f#$k is a Tales game?</FONT></td></tr></tbody></table><P><input type=submit value="Vote"></form>Show results</FONT>

HEY. Tales of Phantasia, jerk. That game was great, much better than my experiences with Symphonia. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. What, Ducktales wasn't enough for you? <p><hr />

<span style="font-size:xx-small;">"Their rhetoric... You didn't put communists in his bed did you!" came Amber's indignant reply.

"Why not? All I had to do was open a gate to his bed and stick up a sign saying 'Hot virgin willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of international socialist fraternity.'"</span>

Plays a bit like it, too =D

Well, at least once you get the comboizer thing. Which everyone should. Because it's great. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. Dave needs to mod his system. Simple as that.

Just in case this isn't released in the States and you get the modding done on your system, you can blindly stumble through a version translated in moonspeak. Sure, it'll be a pain, but someone will likely come along with a translated FAQ eventually, thus giving you something of a guideline for your Tales-related adventures.

Also: lol u rn't teh final fantasy fanatic desu!11 <p><hr />

Dan: Yeah, you've changed a lot too, into an old man! I went to see the devil, now it's your turn!
Curtis: Oh, my pupil, so tenacious of life, guess I have to kill you again.
Dan: Shut up, before you run out of breath!
Curtis: I got rid of those smiles, there's no one left to disturb our game. Just you, and me.
Dan: Sounds fair, 'cuz I hate holding back, even for an old fart like yourself.
Curtis: Talk all you want, I won't need six bullets for you.
Dan: Or four for you.</span>

*Beats End with a save journal*

Also: I could, however, I don't really see much point in playing an RPG I can't understand. Half an RPG for me is the story/reading stuff, so *for me* I wouldn't wanna do it.

*Corrupts your Level 98 save set right at the very end of the game*

Sucks to be you then, man. Don't fret, though. You could always start... AN INTERNET PETITION! :D! <p><hr />
