Of wierdness and Als.

Unread postby BrainWalker » Thu Sep 21, 2006 2:16 am

So Weird Al apparently has a new CD coming out in about a week or so. That's good news! There's a fairly awesome music video from the album over on YouTube. You should totally check it out.

However, apparently there's one song that isn't going to be on the album for an incredibly stupid reason. It's a spoof, and while the writer of the original song dug it, apparently his record label didn't. Why the Hell that should mean anything at all is beyond me, but hey, at least that song is now available on the internet.

I don't have the whole story mind you, so some of my information may be lacking in details. I just got this from talking to people way too late when I should be in bed.

Image

Because the label owns the song, no matter who wrote and sang it. :(

What's wrong with this ring?!

Well, I wasn't asking so much why it does mean anything, I was more asking why it should, in a philosophical sense.

The legality involved with recording labels seems to be moderately retarded.

Image

You totally linked the mp3 of the song in the link where you're linking the video that's supposedly on YouTube.

Which is to say that you didn't link the video.

Image

If it's the video I think it is, it is indeed several layers of awesome.

I blame the lateness of the hour.

This is the video I meant to link.

Image

Agreeing with Dia, I really expected them to have a problem with that one.
-------------------------

Seems like you cannot give away free advertising these days.
