I giggled because the first thing I thought of when I read the thread title was a two-legged dog riding a bicycle.

This is already in the Really Random Shit thread, but it does warrant another mention. Awesome dog, awesome owner. <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

It kind of bothers me when people say things like "It was not easy, and it was not natural. It was SUPER natural, and therefore, we have to give all of the credit to Jesus." Fuck no they don't have to give all the credit to Jesus. Some of it, sure, maybe even a lot of it, but that dog and it's owner both put in a lot of fucking hard work. It's not like they prayed and all of a sudden Faith was able to walk upright.

Come on, people. Just because Jesus is the foundation of your/our religion and totally awesome to boot, doesn't mean you can't give yourselves and other mortal creatures a little credit where it is due. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>Edited by: [url=http://p068.ezboard.com/brpgww60462.showUserPublicProfile?gid=brainwalker>BrainWalker</A]&nbsp; Image at: 8/10/06 3:56

Yeah, that bothered me, too. Certainly, I'd say it's healthier for the persons involved, and society at large, to admit to credit where credit is due. Still, I'm used to cliche Jesus ads, and figure the folks earned a bit of allowance for the sort of thing. Besides, I think often in cases like these, some better/more accurate wording and I may have no complaints--for instance, crediting Jesus to be the source of the strength for helping Faith, or something similar. Beside trying to understand that people come from different PoVs than I do, I try to give allowance for people just not being good at communication. <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">dictionary.com | encyclopædia dramatica

I'm used to people attributing Jesus to all manner of things, from grilled cheese to parking spaces, so that doesn't bother me--although it would if I were Christian, because that cheapens the name, throwing it around carelessly.

I don't know if I can buy the 'it's not natural' thing, though. I mean, my parents' dog walks on her hind legs for short stretches not infrequently, though not full-time either, and she doesn't have to.

Not saying that Faith isn't cool, because she is, and it's pretty neat to watch her get around like that. But it's hardly 'not natural.'

Also, that video does not want to play on my terminal. Sad face. But to the other one, as from the aforementioned Random Shit thread! <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. It is a secret you have yet to grasp, although the first syllable has been spoken in a dream you cannot quite recall." --Unknown Armies</span></p>Edited by: [url=http://p068.ezboard.com/brpgww60462.showUserPublicProfile?gid=priamnevhausten]PriamNevhausten&nbsp; Image at: 8/10/06 13:33
