Crazyass question

Unread postby KingOfDoma » Tue Aug 01, 2006 7:52 pm

Is it abortion if the alien baby inside you is going to be sentient? And if so, should you care?

of curse it is, but, well, i guess it's a "your life or the alien's" situation, so killing it to save yourself and possibly others from evil, it's ok, i guess. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image

I think it's considered abortion even if the human inside you isn't going to be sentient.

Yeah, think about that one. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. But Superman was far more powerful in pre-1980 comics than in post-1980 comics?

Edit: Also Superman is usually presented as getting weaker beyond a certain point as he ages. :O <p><hr />

This reminds me of the confusion surrounding seahorses, wherein the male is the one who apparently has the baby, which doesn't seem to make much sense. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

Maybe what we named the male side of the species when we first studies them ended up having children, and by that time it was far too late to change it?

Like the word dinosaurs, and how horroribilly inaccurate it apprently is.

Or maybe being a female of a spieces isn't dependant on giving birth, and is just a more common side effect, but there is greater deeper gentic mumbo jumbo to it all?

And the graph, as I have seen it before, is done by a man who has not actually read any Superman comics or knows it well, but by a man who knows a good laugh when he sees one. Managing to define the Powerlevel of God was pretty damn funny. <p><div style="text-align:center"> </div>

As I understand it, the male fertilizes the female's eggs. The female then deposits them in a sort of pouch in the male, somewhat marsupial-esque.

This could be wrong, as I haven't actually researched this, this is just from memory that's years old. <p><hr />

I want to know the units on that graph's Y-axis. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. i wouldn't worry abuot that graph, DC is going to be retconing it every 2 months or so.

also! i thought the lack of the Y chromosome (or lack of a functional one) made stuff female. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image

The Y-Axis can be measured in DBZ power levels.

Which means neither God or Superman has any hope of beating SSJ Goku. ^_^ <p><div style="text-align:center">

...More like Goku after King Kai training... Goku would be absurdly stronger than God as SSJ. He had something like 3.2 million.

...Yes, I was a hard core DBZ fanboy at one point.

Hell, Gohan as a child after Picollo's training, during Nappa and Vegita battle, could give God a run for his money when angered properly.

What have I done?!

I wasn't implying that God would be fighting Vegeta Arc Goku, only that in 2030 Superman will only have a chi of 6,000 or so. Although, if God and Superman both went SSJ, and then used Fusion Earrings, they might stand a chance against non-SSJ Goku. <p><div style="text-align:center">

And also, it's actually more accurate to say that the presence of a Y chromosome is what makes stuff male. At least, in humans, female is the "default" gender, and it requires exposure to specific hormones during pregnancy for the child to become male. Might be different in other species, I'm not sure. <p><hr />
