Yeah, I'm not sure about the association with Datorrents.com (the guy that runs EBWS says they don't actually do anything illegal, but I'm not sure if I buy that), but even so, it doesn't really change the point of the message of the site, or the validity of their evidence. EBT is attacking the man, not the message, essentially. <p><hr />

invalid logic != ineffective tactic

People get caught up in the "ONOES BAD MAN!" thing very easily, nevermind valid logic. To be fair, once you start dragging people's emotions (and, sometimes, half-thought-out but tenaciously held morals) into it, evaluating logic becomes beyond many's capabilities. <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">dictionary.com | encyclopædia dramatica</div></p>

I know that. I'm not saying this counterargument won't be effective at changing people's minds; I'm sure that it would be, in fact. I'm just pointing out that EBWS is saying that EBW is doing bad things, and instead of proving them wrong, EBT is coming up with scandals involving EBWS. Regardless of how generally effective it will be, it's still a fallacious ad hominem, and it speaks to the weakness of the case of the defenders of EBW that they don't actually defend his actions. <p><hr />

The reason I see Ebaum being a jerkass is because he flat out refuses to remove content when the original creators ask him to remove it.
