THE SIGNFICANCE OF 6/6/06

...is that Harvest Moon DS is released in the states today.

What the hell is this "apocalypse" and "rapture" thing everyone's talking about?*

<span style="font-size:xx-small;">* Sarcasam, yes I do know that not putting the '20' in the year will make today's date look like the numbers of the beast.</span>

I rememebr when everyone was sayying the same crap about 1/1/01. People talking about the end times, and the local mall capitalizing on it like there really was no tomorrow. The amount of 1/1/01 Bling that pervaded stores was sickening.

Next year it'll be 7/7/07 people talking about how Heaven's coming. Gotta love people for this shit. =D <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

Somehow I'm half suspecting 7/7/07 will be a huge windfall for casinos, instead. <p><hr />

<span style="font-size:xx-small;">"Their rhetoric... You didn't put communists in his bed did you!" came Amber's indignant reply.

"Why not? All I had to do was open a gate to his bed and stick up a sign saying 'Hot virgin willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of international socialist fraternity.'"</span>

<span style="color:blue;font-size:xx-small;">Excaliburned:</span> <span style="font-size:xx-small;">Ah yes, I'm thinking of having the USS Bob be preserved outside the Arena as a monument of sorts</span></p>

I have to bow to Mus's superior logic in this case. I hadn't even thought of that until he posted it. <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

I saw more people talking about 1/1/00, myself, Bes. Y2K and all. Didn't really see all that much for 1/1/01. <p><hr />

Yeah, the millenium thing was bigger, but I felt the theme of the repetative numbers was more relevant I suppose. I don't know that it was a big thing in other places, but here in VA there were fricking TV comercials advertising the end of the world and shit.

... followed by adds for end of the world merchandise. It was the most hillariously pathetic thign I'd ever seen. <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

Maybe it's just because there aren't as many people over here, then.

Also, 1/1/01 was the real start of the millenium. :D <p><hr />

6/6/06 isn't any big deal; it'll come back around in about a hundred years.

It also happens to be the cute release date for The Omen. Which I won't see, by the by.

You know, thinking about it, it's not 6/6/06 or 7/7/07 we should be worrying about.

It's 7/7/BAR. That shit's deadly.

But every day is 7/7/BAR when you're an alcoholic! <p>-----

You mean every July 7th is? Or is there some booze-related 7/7 that I'm unaware of? <p><hr />

No, you go into the bar at 7 PM, stay until 7 AM, and then go to sleep and repeat. <p>-----

Avoid fighting on 7/7/07, or else someone might do 7777 HP damage if they hit you!

Definetely don't play FFVII. <p><div style="text-align:center">

Nick obviously means 7/7/77.

I mean honestly, if you reference the game in question in the EXACT SAME POST I would expect you to know the numbers involved. :(

Ironically, I haven't touched FF7 in like four years. <p><hr />

I think Our Steve has made the best possible joke ever, in this context. 7/7/BAR... that's genius.

Although Mus did lend assistance. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>Edited by: [url=http://p068.ezboard.com/brpgww60462.showUserPublicProfile?gid=brainwalker>BrainWalker</A]&nbsp; Image at: 6/9/06 10:17
