Seeing it Friday with my workmates I am.

It has to work hard to beat Sin City though... but I'll probably enjoy it on its own merits. Like.. Batman. Bat. Man.

Well, I guess I'm just not steeped enough in Batman lore to recognise Ras from the trailer. Having actually seen the movie, I shall now forgive FD.

Also, I always figured it was closer to 'Raj'. Still do, come to think of it.
Cat - Felis sapiens. Not human. Viable target.

If we just made it "ATE WETA" it would be.

Or if we called some bunch of researchers or something and told them we'd kill them if they didn't change the official name of the insect to "waeta".

EDIT: Isn't it normally pronounced "Raysh" in the cartoon?
__-__-__-__-__-__

*saw it yesterday*

Holy crap. A movie where knowing the base material actually ENHANCED my experience, instead of hampering it. May I just say this about the movie, and why it's far better than its crappy "The Batman" cartoon counterpart.

It RESPECTS who the characters are. It may not stick to the history plotted out in the comics, but that's impossible anyways. The movie takes the character's core being, and finds a new way to get to the same place, and makes both the new way and the old character seem great.

And Rachel Dawes could have been improved, but the movie doesn't really work without her, so I forgive it.

... oh, and yes, it was a great flick, if I didn't get that across.
--------------------

What's funny is that Rachel Dawes is the only character that what's-her-name has ever played where she actually did good acting.
