MOUNT AND BLADE

Have you felt the thrill of crushing a troop of armed knights with little more than your ragtag militia of farmers and merceneries lately?/
It's like a cross between old school Pirates! and a strategy game and some other stuff. It's very simulatorish, and the game is very very hard, but not in an unfair way. The item prices are really wunked up, but they don't seem so bad once you slowly work your way up to getting decent troops.
Despite being in development and having a lot of flaws is still amazingly addictive and you will play for hours, telling yourself "Just one more battle." The incomplete game costs about $20, but this will allow you to get on the ground floor. Of course, you can download the demo which will still entertain you for hours and hours.
Jak agrees; this is not a game one should pass up.
