I never thought this thread would become this amusing. I am proud of everyone. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. Now to add something useful to the thread! I got to look at KH2 recently. Save your money. For the love of God/Allah/FSM/[Insert Deific Figure Here]/Xenu, save your money. This crap isn't worth the data film and plastic it's burned into.

I didn't get to sse Roxas, who some have claimed redeems the game, but everything I've seen so far screams fanwank. ... Especially the Pirates of the Carribean sequence. Oh good god, it was terribly. You know what 4Kids did to One Piece? That's what happened here. Save yourself the time and pain.

DO NOT BUY THIS WORTHLESS PILE OF CRAP. ;_;

Sank you.

What in the name of fuck are you expecting? Of COURSE it's fanservice, it's Kingdom Hearts! Didn't you ever see the first one? You think people played it because they'd never seen Aladdin, or Nightmare Before Christmas, or any of that? No, it's because they HAVE seen it that such things are amusing. I don't know why this is supposed to be a case against it. OMFG GENIE GETS WISHED FREE WHAT A SURPRISE. I'LL BET JACK SPARROW DEFEATS BARBOSSA OOPS SPOILER WARNING.

The merit in the KH series is the combat, which is simple enough to work, and stylish enough to usually look good, while having a couple tweaks that allow for some decent strategic possibilities. There is also a story that is the game's own, which is the motivating factor--the Disney world visits are more or less speed bumps on the paths to that other, overarching story. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. The representative of the shadow Organization XIII that fights you acts like Edward from FF4 and looks like a J-Pop rocker. The overarching story you're referencing did not strike me as worth seeing through to it's completion.

Edward from FF4 is awesome, though. Assuming I'm remembering which FF that is...that's the one with Terra, right? I can never get them straight. <p>-_-___-___-___-_-

Ed = FF4, the one with the dark knight turned paladin, Dave's favourite

Terra = FF6, the one with espers, airships, and opera, dangnabbit <p><hr />

Ah. Then forget what I said, because I was thinking of the guy from FF6, which is Edgar, now that I think about it, right? I'm not a huge Final Fantasy fan, as you can see. <p>-_-___-___-___-_-

EdGAR = King with a love for lances and machines, machines, machines. He's a playa, baby. He's ALL about the ladies.

Saving the world... would be a distant third.

EdWARD = Spoony bard who most people credit with making EVERYONE think bards blow chunks in battle. Not completely untrue, but still.

And the only reason he got into the whole "save the world" gig is cuz of his dead girlfriend, so STOP calling him gay.

This has been Roseanne, your guide to the world of facts. <p><hr />

I just finally sat down and played this game. (The prologue was stupidly long.. more so since I'm kinda irked that I didn't play Chain of Memories..)

I have one obscure question!

Is Yin Sid the wizard from Phantasia? The one from the famous Mickey Mouse animation? He looks familiar and I cannot place exactly where I've seen him..

The answer is yes, he is. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. I am guessing Yin Sid -> Dis Niy -> Disney is what they are refering to, but I haven't played it yet myself. :O <p><hr />

But that's the only way to remove the curse.

It's also the origin of the phrase "The cat's pajamas".

Eh, I liked Kingdom Hearts 1 >_>;

So! I will likely give Kingdom Hearts 2 a go, as it seems to be regarded at the least, as well as number 1.

Regardless of what anyone says, I'll at least be checking out KH1 to see the Nightmare Before Christmas level.

KH2 looks intriguing given the fact that Mickey is, in fact, a ninja. And that there's a Tron level.

Spoilers requested on Tron level. <p><hr />
