Hay guyz!

Unread postby pd Rydia » Tue Mar 28, 2006 8:30 pm

Hey guys, I fixed the forum background! Posticons, too.

I'd like to thank Jak for his webhostering help, and also Emus, Spleen, and Shini for their valuable inputs.

If anyone would like to make appropriate New Topic, New Poll, Add Reply buttons, or a banner for the top of the forum, and can find non-photobucket(etc.) hosting, that will fit our current theme, please do contribute! <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">dictionary.com | encyclopædia dramatica</div></p>

I don't know, I think this background might be both a little dark and too busy. I can barely even see the text on it above posts, let alone read it. And it keeps drawing my attention away from posts. <p><hr />

I am Mus, not Emus. >:

Also, damn that's a lot of different corn posticons.

I have photobucket space if that'd work for temp hosting, as well. <p><hr />

Just to actually contribute something useful, I'll go ahead and offer to host said images on my webspace once they're done. <p><hr />

This is what I get for skimming threads like this.

I blame the hypnoting spinning corn.

...

We need an icon of that now. <p><hr />

Well, after reading over all your thoughts and giving careful consideration and deep thought and introspection to the matter (and also a quick trip to the local Chinese restaurant, wherein I partook of General Tso's fine chicken dish and conversed with the small chubby Buddha statues therein, until I got kicked out), I decided to place a button at the bottom of the forum, so y'all can choose to have the plaid or an alternate set of imagery. <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">dictionary.com | encyclopædia dramatica</div></p>

At first: Huh? Oh, must be picking a random 'lol' theme.

Ten minutes later: Ow, fuck, my eyes!

Yeah, in this case, I'll take the pansy blue. <p><hr />
<div style="text-align:center"><span style="font-size:xx-small;">Curtis: Dannyboy, look at you. You've changed considerably, into a badass, if I may.
Dan: Yeah, you've changed a lot too, into an old man! I went to see the devil, now it's your turn!
Curtis: Oh, my pupil, so tenacious of life, guess I have to kill you again.
Dan: Shut up, before you run out of breath!
Curtis: I got rid of those smiles, there's no one left to disturb our game. Just you, and me.
Dan: Sounds fair, 'cuz I hate holding back, even for an old fart like yourself.
Curtis: Talk all you want, I won't need six bullets for you.
Dan: Or four for you.</span>

...All right, then. Though if that was your position, I honestly wish you would have said something in the first post. <p><hr />

I for one love the plaid.

Backing up my opinion is the fact that when I hit the button to change it, a window popped up and said "error".

I belive that it was mearly trying to say to me that I was in error for trying to change the wonderful background. And I belive it.

Clarification:

Zeke is down (moving, needs to be hooked up again--see discussion forum). I saw this as a perfect opportunity to put up some sort of horrid image combination I'd never normally get away with; I was tired of my computar machine trying to load images that weren't there, and the backgroundless board.

These are temporary until zeke is up'n running again.

Also:

What Rube said. <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">dictionary.com | encyclopædia dramatica</div></p>

Well, my initial misconceptions aside...

It appears as if the entire forum has become some sort of... carpet warehouse. I'm somewhat hypnotized by the combination of the button textures and the backdrop. <p><hr />

I also think the textile theme is kind of amusing, even if it would not be a great choice long-termy. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television.
