Each Job has 4 extra fighting styles you can unlock. 2 custom character-specific ones, and two "Soul of <Blah>" ones. For example, Barbarian has the following:

Iron Sword
Grieve Edge
Wave Sword
Soul of Nightmare
Soul of Astaroth

To unlock them, you have to use a character with the job X amount of times, in stuff like Cronicles of the Sword/Soul Arena/VS/etc.
