We did, but you weren't listening =( <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. It is a secret you have yet to grasp, although the first syllable has been spoken in a dream you cannot quite recall." --Unknown Armies</span></p>

Why is this funny? If an American or someone was doing this for FOX or something, it wouldn't be funny. It's just dumb :(

Zero obviously hasn't seen waht the Japanese will call a game show.

Why it amuses Americans, however, is largely beyond me as well. Call it sheep syndrome if you like. <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

Japanese Game Shows are only funny because of how absurd they are. I don't see why this one dude gets so much attention :(

I admit, MXC is funny sometimes, but not something you'd watch a marathon of.

Speak for yourself. I love MXC. And not for the lowbrow commentary dub. The "eliminations" are hilarious enough in themselves.

... though the commentary IS damn funny and creative at times... <p><hr />

I just love how happy they are to hop off to their harm.

I have a theory. Americans are so amused by this guy because of the word "Gay".

I love how America is so enamored with gay people in the media, and TV shows and stuff, but refuses to acknowledge their right to marry or be equals and all that. :D

Kind of like the way it was with black people way back in the day, eh?

I haven't seen much in the lines of amorous attention being paid to this "Hard Gay" character on our shores. the majority of the people I know who've heard about him have a similar "that's just wrong" opinion. It's almost funny, but it just goes overboard.

Anyway, Japanese sexual culture is fucked the fuck up. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

The exact parallel I was hoping someone would draw.

We need a gay Martin King Jr.

*goes to hell, does not pass go, does not collect $200*

Maybe he'll say something like this:

Image <p><hr />

<span style="font-size:xx-small;">"Their rhetoric... You didn't put communists in his bed did you!" came Amber's indignant reply.

"Why not? All I had to do was open a gate to his bed and stick up a sign saying 'Hot virgin willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of international socialist fraternity.'"</span>

<span style="color:blue;font-size:xx-small;">Excaliburned:</span> <span style="font-size:xx-small;">Ah yes, I'm thinking of having the USS Bob be preserved outside the Arena as a monument of sorts</span></p>
