Dear DMSCV...

Unread postby ikozaedro » Wed Jan 25, 2006 4:28 pm

I found this chilean guy on another forum who thought your work was good enough to steal it and use it as his avatar, while it is general knowledge that this is a common practice in the land of the internet, i wanted to hear your opinion on that. <p><div style="text-align:center"> <span style="color:fuchsia;font-family:comic sans ms;font-size:large;">LAMBO SWIMS LIKE A BRICK!!</span>

I have no idea what's going on but that forum looks crazy and that guy's avatar is cool even if it's stolen.

But surely it becomes Anti-cool if its stolen man -

Then again I've stolen my images as an advantar... Hell almost ALL of my advantars are stolen art works @_@ Oh man I'm so confused.

I mean, I suppose it depends if they're telling people they drew it or not or if they spread the word of the artist when asked about it.

@_@ Wheeee.

Damn! That's insane.

We should stalk him. <p>-------------------------

yeah, i feel like that too, thats why im not using fanart as my avatar, but one could say the same thing for official art.

Deviantart, a lot of people use DA stuff for avatars and sigs, specially Bleedman's.

Like Glu_glu said; I had it on DA. So it's no surprise that someone found it.

If he's claiming it as his own? Yeah, we'll bust some heads. But if he just wanted to use it as his avatar.. Well, Idon't see TOO much of a problem in it. <p><div style="text-align:center"><hr />Image

Glu-Glu: Tell him that the person who made it is your friend, and kindly ask for them to acknowledge that fact in a public way.

There, i sneakily asked him about it, he DOES NOT claim it to be his work.

ALL IS WELL IN THE WORLD.
I don't care if he uses it as long as people know it's not his. :( <p><div style="text-align:center"><hr />Image

Not-really-an-edit: We need a picture of End smiling like an idiot to caption with this <p><hr />

<span style="font-size:xx-small;">"Their rhetoric... You didn't put communists in his bed did you!" came Amber's indignant reply.

"Why not? All I had to do was open a gate to his bed and stick up a sign saying 'Hot virgin willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of international socialist fraternity.'"</span>

<span style="color:blue;font-size:xx-small;">Excaliburned:</span> <span style="font-size:xx-small;">Ah yes, I'm thinking of having the USS Bob be preserved outside the Arena as a monument of sorts</span></p>

Not quite as much fun as playing through Bubble Bobble twice with a friend to get the good ending, but still entertaining nontheless. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>
