Gunstar Heroes 'Treasure Box'

Unread postby Endesu » Wed Jan 11, 2006 2:56 pm

I'm well aware that Gunstar Super Heroes for the GBA was reported on in a topic not too long ago. This is good news. I've come with news of the 'took them long enough' Sega Ages rerelease on the PS2. Sure, it may make more sense to release it on the GBA or PSP as opposed to the PS2, but it's their money, not mine.

From 4chan:
Image

"For the uninformed:
-volume 25 of the Sega Ages 2500 series
-includes Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Headdy, Alien Soldier
-includes JP/US/PAL versions of said games
-includes emulation tweaks that can be toggled on or off
-includes superplay recordings and ability to record your own replays
-includes full manual scans, concept art, staff comments, etc.
-due out Feb 23 in Japan, international release unlikely
-will cost 2500 yen, which is a fucking steal considering that Alien Soldier still goes for $100+ all by itself

feb 23 2006"

This is the reason to mod your PS2, folks.

Also, I may actually be back for a bit. Anyway, comment. <p><hr />

What was that one game that Treasure had on the Saturn that also had Golden Silver...? Dragon something, maybe? <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. It is a secret you have yet to grasp, although the first syllable has been spoken in a dream you cannot quite recall." --Unknown Armies</span></p>

Guardian Heroes. There were several alternate endings, and one of them led up to a final battle with Golden Silver. Sadly, from my limited playtime, I've only seen the 'regular' endings.

... hum. I need to change my avatar.

See that girl? Yeah that one! I done her with her sister.

Other then that... ummm yay? Another game re-coming out that I never played!

Guardian Heroies however was the best freakin game for soooo long in my mind! The choas wizard girl kicks everyones ass with her smilies of doom! DOOM! BWA HA HA HAH A!! I used to kill peeps with over 200+ hits spamming her force shield at full power and smily attack.

God I loved that game, and ALL the endings! ALL of them!! BWA HA HA HA!!

Bastard!

I passed up Guardian Heroes for Bug! back in the day. Fugging Bug. Guardian Heroes might have been repetitive, sometimes mindless, sometimes annoying hack 'n slash... but it was still a solid, fun game, something I can't quite say for Bug. 2D platforming with 3D graphics did not work in this case.

But, yeah, Gunstar, Dynamite, and Alien were all made by the same developer! And they're all just about as good, if not better! Now if they'll only rerelease that Mischief Makers game on the N64, so I can actually get a chance to play it! <p><hr />
