I don't get it. I've removed and re-installed AIM COMPLETELY about 3 times and it's still giving me the same load of BS.
--

...Why did you think that would work after the first time failed?

Simple: Each time I tried it I found out I missed something. (The Mac version of AIM doesn't have an Uninstall feature, so ya kinda have to manually delete everything.)

3rd time around I got all of it, re-re-re-REinstalled it.............and it still won't let me log on. ;.;
--

Have you met my friend Diane? Or Pervy?

It's cheaper and some places don't yet have a cable infrastructure that can support the entirety of the population who would want it? I mean, I don't see why the former wouldn't apply, and I imagine that this latter point still would for the smaller Canadian towns (as in <20,000 people) just as much as the smaller American towns, at least.

But if you want to give it to me, by all means, be my guest. I just had another DSL telemarketer wake me up today.

I am logging on via a wireless service that is provided free of charge by the City of Corpus Christi. Beat that.
-----

...I don't get it.

(And I believe his city is called "City of the Body of Christ", actually.)

I think this totally has nothing to do with getting WillXaq back on AIM.

Have you tried switching connection numbers again yet?

Thus making this somewhat related to the topic once more!

Well, this is great...downloaded a free (yet from what I've heard from some friends, quite reliable) virus scanner earlier and went ahead and checked my hard drive.

It found something. (I forget what it was called, something like "pathfinder 52" or some shiznart.) Also helped me get rid of it...unfortunately, the problem persists after a reboot, so I dunno if that was the cause or not.

condolences with the AIM problems, but if that program works for Windows, and you could link it I'd be grateful. :o

Sorry Bes, it's MacOS-specific.

Anyway, I've had a SMALL breakthrough...downloaded Fire (Mac OS equivalent of Trillian) earlier, and while I can't log onto AIM with that either, I'm able to get onto Yahoo Instant Messenger. So if you feel the need to bug me on there, my handle's ashurasg.
--
