GUITAR HEROES!

This game is awesome.

I'm not saying the game has the property of awesome, I'm saying that it quite literally IS awesome. Though it isn't the only awesome on the planet, they must have found a way to produce new awesome to make this game.

It's a guitar rhythm game where you get a guitar controller with frets you have to press and a clicker you work to function as the pick. It's surprisingly difficult since you only have four fingers and there are five frets to press along with the fact that you have to be pressing the appropriate frets when you hit the pick or the move doesn't count.

The game would be much more awesome if it had more songs, though. And it would be the ultimate awesome if you could introduce and program your own songs into the system. <p>[---------------------------]

Yes.

I did Sol's IK on a dance pad vs. Choark, even! Though it missed, and because of Axl's damned unblockable charge move (Rasho Sen), I got pwn3d.

But still. IK.

Also, there is to be more talk of Guitars, Heroes, and the combination thereof in this thread. OR ELSE. >=(

That game is indeed the shit. I got the wonderful chance to play it over at Priam's place last week, and damn. The fact that you can actually tilt your guitar all vertical-like to totally rock the fuck out and wow the crowd is genius. I'm surprisingly decent at it for a noob, but I am completely lost once that fifth fret starts showing up. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

Thankfully the game really eases you into the fourth and fifth fret buttons. Just wait until you have to master pull-offs and hammer-ons. The former is more difficult than the latter, and both are all but required for some Expert-level tracks. Once you get the technique it's fun to use them, but getting there is hard as beans. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television.
