WAKE UP

Unread postby Capntastic » Mon Nov 14, 2005 11:58 pm

YOU CAN SET A SONG TO WAKE UP TO BY FOR THE NEXT YEAR! IT IS YOUR ALARM CLOCK SONG! IT WILL BE THE SIREN SONG THAT GREETS YOUR WAKING SOUL!

Tell me :( And maybe link it, too. I'll post mine in a bit.

(You can have more than one too if you're indecisive and/or greedy.)

EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: WHAT SONG WILL GET YOU MOTIVATED AND READY TO ROCK FOR THE DAY AHEAD? DOES IT HAVE A SPECIAL MEANING? IS IT A FUN SONG? WHAT!

The Gunbound Sudden Death song. It's nice and rousing. <p>-----

RAISON D'ETRE. OR SOMMAT.

It's from Chobits. It's all cheerful and happy, and would get progressively more annoying if I try to burrow under the covers!

*Because the original text was too clear, this entry was run through Babelfish going from English to Portuguese to French to Dutch back to English.*

What bloody do enfer go up in this line? I only understand badly that that has said the Zero and the answers their indication the whole expenditure darkens only even more. A range of the lessons of "disconcerting-indication" that do I lack to have have been had?

In another note: Shield large Western bristol Bencousins, song of chaos Daknit, hand-barrow of tarot, and the subject of the Greek drachma Wily training period by entertainment system.

Note in actual English: Wow, it REALLY butchered "Big Shell West Bristol," "Daknit, Bard of Tarot," and "Dr. Wily Stage theme." <p>[---------------------------]

Theme of Juno from RO or Wagner's Ride of the Valkyrie. Throttle and Mask by Machinae Supremacy also ranks highly.

Waking up is hard as fuck, so I would have to find the most God-awful, soul-destroying song to blare at a disgustingly huge volume from a source that is not within arm's reach to turn off, otherwise I could not guarantee it's power to get me out of bed. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

I guess I'm the only one who thought of a Rage Against the Machine song when looking at the title of the thread.

Also, "Burn", by Throwdown. <p>

Either the Metal Gear Solid 2 Opening Theme (which I listened to this morning), E Nomine (Radio Mix) by Vater Unser, or Party 4u (Holy Nite Mix) by Cranky. <p>

I know I thought of a System of a Down song when I first looked at this thread title.

It is much harder to answer the question at hand, and my answer actually does not involve rocking NOR rolling--rather, most any They Might Be Giants tune will do, as these things utterly *compel* me to sing along. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. As for the topic!

My wake up song?

Unread postby Choark » Tue Nov 15, 2005 3:22 pm

Don't Stop Me Now

Tonight I'm gonna have myself a real good time
I feel alive and the world it's turning inside out Yeah!
And I'm floating around in ecstasy
So don't stop me now don't stop me
'Cause I'm having a good time having a good time

I'm a shooting star leaping through the skies
Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity
I'm a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva

I'm gonna go go go
There's no stopping me

I'm burning through the skies Yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic woman of you

Don't stop me now I'm Having such a good time
I'm having a ball don't stop me now
If you wanna have a good time just give me a call
Don't stop me now ('Cause I'm having a good time)
Don't stop me now (Yes I'm having a good time)
I don't want to stop at all

I'm a rocket ship on my way to Mars
On a collision course
I am a satellite I'm out of control
I am a sex machine ready to reload
Like an atom bomb about to
Oh oh oh oh oh explode

I'm burning through the skies Yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you

Don't stop me don't stop me
Don't stop me hey hey hey!
Don't stop me don't stop me
Don't stop me have a good time good time
Don't stop me don't stop
I'm burning through the skies Yeah!
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic woman of you

Don't stop me now I'm having such a good time
I'm having a ball don't stop me now
If you wanna have a good time
Just give me a call
Don't stop me now ('Cause I'm having a good time)
Don't stop me now (Yes I'm having a good time)
I don't wanna stop at all

La la la la laaaa
La la la la
La la laa laa laa laaa
La la laa la la la la la laaa hey!!....

Ducky is tragically mistaken. The band is called E-Nomine, not the song. :o

Edit: Kate and Shan also win 3 bonus points a piece for linking some damn fine music.

Probably the music video version of Evanescence's "My Immortal". Doesn't take a lot to wake me up, but in case I try sleeping in for a few minutes, the guitar section knows how to hit like a baseball to the cajuns. <p>--

Since the awesome Mazinger Go! has been posted already, I guess Captain Gordon can always wake me up. Nothing like the heroic theme of a Deeffffffffffffeeeennnnnder of Earth to make one ready to fight evil. Or just wake up and do something. <p>-------------

My alarm clock has a built-in CD player, so I generally flip through several songs. Otherwise, I start managing to sleep through them.

Previous songs I've woken up to are: The X-Files theme, 2001: A Space Odessey, The Imperial March, an orchestral performance of old Mario themes, the main theme of "Ghost in the Shell," and assorted techno. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

My phone wakes me up. It plays the theme from Mario. It pleases me.

EKP is to send me the orchestral Mario themes. My AIM screenname is DeathRaySpleen. <p>-_-___-___-___-_-
