Too bad there isn't a thread specifically for posting 'cool' links!

Tokyo Breakfast is the shit.

Dude, I saw Tokyo Breakfast like five years ago and it was hilarious then.

We showed it to a bunch of Japanese exchange students. They were very confused. <p>

I was confused.

Also: I love the Fanta commercials, even though some of them made no sense to my American eyes. <p>[---------------------------]

Tokyo Breakfast seems like it should be something from the Dave Chapelle show. <p><div style="text-align:center">

American Fanta commercials make little sense to my American eyes, so I think it all balances out. <p>

Also, I should not downplay the value of the robots, because said value is great. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. Holy hell, I am vastly impressed by the speed beating of Mario. However, those jumps don't seem legal. Especially not without the tanuki suit. <p>-----

They are legal. They are just *perfect* is all. You have probably about a 1 in 500 chance of landing it that right. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. I should mention that watching the robots was like watching an odd Jim Henson movie mixed with an ipod in Japan.

And wouldn't that be awesome? I mean the ipod thing. I imagine that in the future, your ipod will be a pocket sized robot that will dance to the music that it's playing for you. That'd be freakin' sweet.

Dude. I think Tokyo Breakfast likes that one word even more than the Chapelle show. I didn't think that was possible in something that still manages to be funny. It keeps going from "What the fuck? Damn, that's brilliant." to "Okay, they need to shut the fuck up now." to "Okay, now it's funny again." It's really... bizarre. Also, I want their stereo.

... do enough Japanese people understand English idioms/slang enough for something like that to even be marketable?

Those Fanta commercials kick the everloving bejesus out of our shitty Fanta commercials. Sweet Pie those are some fucking awesome commercials. I can't help but imagine an actual show/anime that takes place at that school. That would be a fucking awesome show. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>
