If you really care about your children, you'll smack 'em around a bit. <p><div style="text-align:center">

I particularly enjoyed the analysis of the Matrix movies, myself. <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. The site's blocked by the school firewall. Can I get a synopsis/general overview of content? Well, beyond "You should smack your kids around." <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

Guy with a bunch of rants under the impression that as a general rule offensive and arrogant = funny, regardless of quality. He used to not be too bad, but recently he's pretty much coasting on reputation while creating new content at a rate that Piro would scoff at.

Also doesn't understand the difference between asking for donations and offering a service for a fee, but that's an entirely different subject altogether. <p>

I don't remember ever being spanked. My parents remember spanking me, but are pretty sure I was never spanked on more than two seperate occasions. <p>

My mom tells a story about how I went through a phase at around age four where I was calling everyone by their first name. Mom tolerated it, but when I called my grandma "Bev," mom says she backhanded me.

I have no recollection of this, but knowing my mom... yeah.

I only remember one or two spankings, and one time mom swatted me really hard for screaming at my stepsister when I was twelve. I remember that one all too well. Mindy was all smug about it afterwards, and I just wanted to scream at her all over again. >:{ <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

I barely remember being spanked once by my dad, but only because I think it actually did hurt him more than it hurt me. Which isn't to say that it didn't hurt me. I can't even begin to recall what my transgression was, though. I also recall having been paddled by the principal in elementary school (no jive) for pushing a girl. In my defense, she was a total preppie bitch and she always got her damn way by whining and manipulating people. *cough* In elementary school. Oh, the drama. I seem to recall that she goaded me into doing it for the sole purpose of getting me in trouble. This may or may not be an accurate depiction of this girl, because, you have to realize, I was like, 9 or something at the time. <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>Edited by: [url=http://p068.ezboard.com/brpgww60462.showUserPublicProfile?gid=brainwalker>BrainWalker</A]&nbsp; Image at: 10/27/05 12:08

I can remember being spanked more than a few times up to about the age of 10 or so. After that things turned fairly sour any time that my parents threatened to try. Some people just don't realize that if you send your kid to martial arts class four times a week since age 6 they may no longer tolerate being beaten for something that only my parents could be moronic enough to think deserved it.

This of course is one of the reasons that my parents and I are not on good terms at all. There are plenty of others but they tend to think that since they couldn't beat sense into me in the way back when that all of my other problems stem from that.

In Regards to the Possibility of Shrinkage in 100% Cotton

My dad threatened me with a belt all the time, but never used it. Probably figured that a belt made out of saltines wasn't going to teach me a lesson. <p><div style="text-align:center">

It'd probably sting for a good five minutes.

Since we're getting into childhood stories and suchlike!

Yeah, I got the belt/switch/flat of the hand many a time. And knowing how I acted as a youngster? I deserved every thump.
I don't have any defense stories on my end. Sad fact is.. I really really did deserve every one I got. Not saying it happened all the time. I generally only have to deal with it once and learn "OK, that was BAD".
Ofcourse, didn't stop me from doing something else :(

Though, I do recall once in Kindergarden! It was during naptime and I was doing something while the others were sleeping. The teacher wouldn't have any of that and took me to the bathroom and wacked my hands with a ruler. I have no fucking clue -what- that did. All I know is I was the only kid in that class that didn't cry when she'd do it. I stare down at my hands and wonder what purpose that served other than to sting like hell. <p><div style="text-align:center">

My parents opted for emotional beatings. However, since I was a crafty child, I eventually became so practiced that I could turn their every strategy against them! Now they don't dare threaten me with guilt since I'm so much better at it than they are.

Seriously. My parents are Lords of Guilt. No violence, at all, ever. Then again, I hardly ever did anything worthy of getting me in trouble, so I'm probably a special case... and look how I turned out! <p>[---------------------------]
