I fucking hate playing Secret of Evermore. I absolutely cannot stand it at all. But watching Joe play a couple times, and hearing of his adventures within were both pretty entertaining. I also dig a couple of that game's concepts, like the evolving dog, the barter system, and that one totally awesome cameo. I won't say the game sucks, because it does have some merit, I just can't bring myself to touch it ever again, personally.

I don't know why I enjoy harvest moon. It's the same fucking thing over and over again, but it's so adorable and charming I keep playing anyway. Goddamnit, I will do my family proud and turn this shitty run-down field into a high-class agrarian facility! Also, that series has the cutest cows ever. WTF.

Erghiez is like a B-movie. It is absolutely terrible, and because of this, it is totally awesome when taken with good company. That Indiana Jones guy's "break all your limbs" move was fucking classic.

Dia gets bonus points for mentioning A Boy and His Blob. I don't know what they were smoking when they programmed the physics in that game, but I still went and beat it anyway. I'm also glad to see some love for FF:MQ in this thread.

And now for something completely different!

Deja Vu, for the NES. Oldschool game that wasn't Shadowgate but looked exactly like it, except for being set in an old detective movie. How can you not like a game where you get to punch a hooker? <p><div style="text-align:center">Image</div></p>

Maniac Mansion for NES. I don't know that it was considered bad but it was certainly unpopular.

Man makes me want to find an emulator and some ROMs. <p>-----Celeste of Elvenhame--------

That wasn't a help me find this request, although Thank you.

It was an observation that this thread made me want to go snag emulators for various systems and ROMs of my favorite games to play.

I'm pretty direct when I have a request for help. Beating around the bush is pointless if one wants help. <p>-----Celeste of Elvenhame--------

hmm, i kinda doubt nes maniac mansion counts for this, yes, it was hated, but only because the pc version was UNCENSORED. Maniac mansion, to my knowledge, is actually a very popular game.

also: the Banjo-kazooie series needs more love! <p><div style="text-align:center"> <span style="color:fuchsia;font-family:comic sans ms;font-size:large;">LAMBO SWIMS LIKE A BRICK!!</span>

Oh damn, I can't believe I forgot about this!

One time, one of my siblings (I assume my brother) got a copy of Shaq Fu from a friend. I don't remember too much about it, but I do remember playing it without hating it too much. I dunno, I'm not going to play it again to see what it was like. <p><hr />

Two words. Congo's Caper. If any of you people have heard of this game, and have played it... I'm sorry. It was kind of like a mix between Sonic and Bonk, but on SNES. You're a monkey, who turns into a human with a tail. If you collect three rubies in a level, you turn pretty much SUPER <s>SAIYAN</s> Monkey human, and gain a bunch of powers.

My true love about the game is that one of the four bosses before the final boss, who stole your monkey girlfriend, is a PIRATE caveman. It rocked.

Hah. Bubsy. I recall showing it to Pervy and his sister, struggling to prove a game I once played and enjoyed was not that bad. FAILURE :(

That game was really hard...

Gluglu should know I own both Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. Bother are very good, but existed in the era where "collect teh stuff" games were spammed, etc.

Bubsy really wasn't a bad game, I could never get past World 4, with the Log Flums though... That thing got weirder and weirder...

I know that, typically, a game showing up on SA makes it hateworthy, but I still love playing Gundam Wing:Endless Duel. A few people on the board probably know what I mean.

Additionally, I can probably say that GGXX would fall into this category, given how every other person I meet in real life either denounce 2D fighting games altogether, or just Guilty Gear.

Also, I think I can count Contra: Shattered Soldier in this. Because I'm a masochist and like ultra-WTF hard games.

Whee! Ehrgeiz! There is an arcade near here that has it! And it is fun when it isn't handing me my ass.

I used to be so much better at it. I don't understand. ;_; <p>-----

GGXX is, like, one of the most popular fighters in existence. It even gotits own article on Sirlin.net as an example of what a balanced fighting game should be! <p><hr /><div style="text-align:center">Image</div>

I loved how, in Ergheiz, Tifa could fling homing laser-discs.

Am I the only one here that's beaten the built in RPG? :( I hope not.

That blacksmith loved his booze, though.

Let the "WTF?!"-ery commence!

This game was beyond horrible.

But the name was awesome, and it was two-player.

So it holds a special place in the hearts of my sibling and I.

...even if we usually end up screaming at the game's buggyness in unison. =[

I spent a long time on it, too, but never saw it to the end. I wonder if I still have the disc... <p><span style="font-size:xx-small;">"It's in the air, in the headlines in the newspapers, in the blurry images on television. Here's one likely Priam will only know.

...AZTEC CHALLENGE.

A box of animal crackers, if you know how horribly bad the game is, yet love it anyways.
