April Fooled? LOLZ?

Unread postby Justice Augustus » Sun Apr 01, 2007 7:48 pm

So as it is that time of the year I was just wondering what sort of tricks people managed to do (or have done to them). These past couple of years I haven't bothered to take part, as there's no point when everyone expects you to do something (as they do on this day). I still, however, look back fondly on when I told my girlfriend that I wanted to be more sexually adventurous and change our relationship to an open one. She almost killed me before I convinced her it was an April Fools' Day joke. Which it was....of course.

well, my april's fools thingy at DA is going as expected, quietly and only fooling a low percent of the target demographic (so yeah BW, i know i didn't fool you the least bit), i have to stick it to the old net since our version of april's fools is still a good bunch of months away, plus it is not as big on pranks here on the north.

so anyway, since this is the AF topic, why not bring all your findings, i just saw this one: http://www.joystiq.com/2007/03/31/april ... ure-zelda/ , gotta say, i could totally play that.
sig pending...

The only thing in that video that didn't make me want to stab people was the concept of naming the bike "Epona".
Anime is kind of like fish in that it is better the less "fishy" it is.

Kingdom of Loathing's got this "sneak preview" of new developments to the game, which is basically a showcase of poorly-thought-out new game mechanics that would make players leave in droves. They also had, for one day only, a special new familiar available that does nothing but hinder and inconvenience its user.

I liked last year when www.kingdomofloathing.com was one of those "we sold this domain to someone, here are a bunch of worthless links on a generic page" sites and you could get to the game by clicking any of the links.

And what would you have done if she'd said, "Okay!"?

You have it all wrong, Zem; the correct question here is "who?" not "what?"

If she'd said OK?

I'm a guy with a nice British accent at an American university, what do you think would have happened?

I'd probably be alone, crying into my pillow with a box of chocolate.

It's people like that who let 12 year olds buy GTA3: San Andreas! And then force them to play the Hot Coffee mod! FORCE THEM I SAY!
